Can someone please tell me what is the best way to find relevant sites that I can post a link on?
Put articles on Web 2.0s and Article directories.
You can set alerts in your Google account for the keyword which you are targeting. Once in a week, you can go through the list and post comments on those sites manually.
Tell me a little more about this please. Where exactly do I go to do this?
I mean set alerts for the keywords for which you are trying to rank well in Google. Whenever G0ogle index pages which contains your keywords, you will get an alert, either through mail or reader(depends on you settings). You can visit those sites and if that site or blog allows comments, you can put a decent comment relevant to the topic and drop your links. Site owner most likely accept your comment as they are more relevant to the topic and thus you gain "relevant" backlinks in this way..
Thanks for the tip. What do you think about the fact that most of them are going to need signing up?
you mean registration before posting comments?
Yes thats what i mean
How about signing up when you need to? It's not that hard to figure out, surely?
Not its not just wanted to know if thats the most time saving way.
I would suggest Harvesting a bunch of keywords similar to your niche, then harvesting from a program such as Srapebox for your backlinks.
I wouldn't mind registering for an account to get a relevant backlinks. Roboform will take care of that
That's a nice idea bro, but I believe OP is new to SB
