    Today I received a $2k+ check from Amazon.com ... :)

What's the best way to cash it and how long do I have to wait till I receive the money?
Is there a way to receive a check in Euro from Amazon?

    Thanks in advance!

If it's endorsed A/c Payee only - You'll need a bank account in the same name.

PM me if any other questions

    - you'll need a bank account in your name
    - in most countries, there's a 25 business day hold for international cheques
    - if the bank that the cheque is drawn on has branches in your country, that may speed things up for you
    - amazon.com won't issue euro cheques. Amazon.de and amazon.fr do, and it takes just as long on the other side of the pond to get them transferred into local currency.
    - cheques are issued in the currency of the store they were sold from (As far as I've experienced)

The check has my name on it and I have a bank account handled in Euro.

I thought there's maybe a better way than just going to my local bank and cash it.
I have to pay a check fee and the change from USD to EUR fee... :(
And I read, that it could take a long time before I receive the money because they have to verify the check with the US bank...
