What is the best way to market and drive traffic to a single landing page?

Whether is paid or free what do you think is best?

    Thanks,

    biginch <----

Google is getting smarter and smarter with the landing pages that have worked in the past.

More of the adwords campaigns I see are actually pushing to blogs and Social Accounts.

Just to avoid the possibility of a Google Slap.

From my personal experience, here is what has work and -- is -- working for me.

    * Building a single opt - in page (not a shopping cart or 20 product page)

Focus my traffic on a funnel.

--> long tail keyword I want to rank for...

---> send that traffic to a very relevant blog post or social account

---> Have the viewer in a funnel for directing an email / signup / rss feed /etc

Then just focusing on combing all my natural SERPs with a single 1 page away from

my main 1 page checkout product.

---> Running adwords on my social accounts with related content to low competition keywords.

Just because I would rather have my adwords showing up for a Twitter account on a SERP result where I am not able to rank (yet)

    Hope that helps!

I strongly suggest you do both if you have the time and resources :)

    Good Luck

    The short answer is no.

But the complete answer is at the Google Adwords Blog.

I strongly recommend keeping up to date on Adwords, just because it gives you...

    *Googles own policies about advertising

    *Tips about converting (from them!)

*More insight on how they work and what they really want for SERPs and Ads.
