Im just curious of the two routes of ebook promotion. I have several ebooks I have written that are on Amazon. I'm curious on what the best free ways to promote the book, and also the best paid methods. Dollar for dollar and ROI, what method of advertisement works best?? Thanks guys.

Yeah, I have all three of them on Amazon right now. One of them has a sales page to it. I was just curious as to where I should be putting money into as far as advertising goes.

    I always had success with:

    - Facebook PPC
    - Crafty SEO to your Kindle Book
    - Torrent Shares

Number one is easy. A LOT of GREAT resources exist for this. I would suggest to NOT follow everything someone will tell you, and think Black Hat. With some Black Hat ad tried and true PPC advertising, you can make costs 0.01 per click and, at the same time, get super targeted paying people.

Number two is interesting. Somethings to consider would be the following:

    - Amazon is not very likely to get De - Indexed or Punished for Links.
    - A high quality link to a Sales Page with some authority based on the Domain will often do very well.
    - Keyword Research is incredibly important when doing SEO for a sales page on Amazon.

Obviously you want Keywords which have high purchase rate for your niche. You also need to keep in mind the realistic sales funnel. Some Keywords are for people who want information about a niche, which a lot of tools and people focus on. You are looking for high converting Keywords.

For example, niche is weight loss.

Some good and easy Keywords would be linking a Celebrity Name with Weight Loss for typical rankings and KW research. So Snooki + Weight Loss would be an easy word and good word to rank. But as far as a sales funnel goes, its an awful KW. No one who searches Snooki + Weight Loss is looking to buy a product.

A far BETTER KW would be Apple Cider Vinegar + Weight Loss. Again, its a GREAT KW to search, but the probability of someone buying an eBook about Apple Cider Vinegar is FAR more likely and better converting than a generic good KW.

What I do when promoting an eBook is to look for KWs which I know people will buy from and I can rank from.

Typical KW tools which show KWs which are profitable and people will click ads for are great, its is essentially step one. But you need to be creative. Think of a sales funnel and use KWs as such.

Just like any basic SEO you will want to look out for variations. For example with WL niche, Apple Cider Vinegar Weight Loss gets LESS searches than Apple Cider Vinegar-Weight Loss. Variation for search volume is a big deal for traditional SEO, but you want to pay attention to what people pay for as well.

A hyphen means a lot for searches, but one demographic often will purchase MORE than the other. Thinking this way takes a bit more work but it can be done. More people may google one, but they may buy another more. Cost effective is always the way to go, no matter your budget, with some key words a market does not exist for a Kindle Book.

This DOES work for fiction books as well. Once again, get creative. People may google and click on LOTR ads, but do they buy? No as much as people looking for terms like "Books like LOTR" or better yet "Best books like LOTR."

The market for some books are better than others. With the LOTR example, a LOT of people may buy products who search for the term, but more buy for Harry Potter based on simple research and common sense.

With this in mind, filtering KW's and ranking them can be a great way to make money.

Onto torrent shares. My Kindle books are non fiction generally, but it all works the same. Spin the content of a chapter and release it as a Torrent. Use typical marketing with the torrent. Release a few chapters and load it as a torrent, with a couple links to your eBook.

When doing spinned torrents I always prefer to release it as 'A Non - Released Version' of the book, or 'Pre - Edited Manuscript' or a variation of the sorts. Spinned release is not against Amazon TOS if done correctly. Additionally, you can spread your net farther than traditional SEO.

You need to research what people download most by KW. People who torrent and sample work are more likely to buy a product, so simply diversifying multiple Torrent files with slight spun variation feeding to your book is a great way to cash in.

Obviously, some of the things I do are better for short term and others better for long term. PPC on Facebook always does me well for short term, but the SEO and Torrents will smooth out my earning and keep me earning sales.

If you have any questions, shoot. I am no expert, but I started with a couple eBooks and Kindle Books and it is how I made most of the money I now use for IM.

A caveat and personal advice is the Amazon Network (Cant remember the name) which you lock in for 90 days. I would advise to NOT put all of your books in it. For marketing sake, having a book you can freely give away and upload straight to Torrent or do SEO for can be incredibly more profitable if you know how to sell Kindle Books properly.

For eBook, I would HIGHLY consider Click Bank. Offer 100% for the ad. But have the ad as a feeder just like you would for an Amazon book. A few chapter or book one of a series for a couple bucks, give it away by giving those who put the ads up 100% of the profits. You will net a loss for this book, but it helps the entire series. If you are lucky, or hit up IM'ers who will post up a landing page for the product or to Micro Niche sites looking to expand revenue in your niche you can get some new links and some free advertising for yourself as an author. They will do the landing page work for you.

You can go a tradition IM route and make a landing page, but you need to do the SEO anyways. I prefer to let someone else do the work for me and it allows more diversification. I snipe out easy and profitable KW's, rank them easily, and then I send it out as a Click Bank or related offer.

A lot of this is FREE if you want to do some dirty work and experiment. You obviously need money for FB PPC, but if done right it is nearly free. The Torrent and creative CB takes no real capital, just being creative. The KW research is a time eater but it works extremely well. You need to work smart to not waste a lot of time and money doing specialized KW research, so use common sense here.

Good luck. This is how I pimp out my few books.
