Whats the Best Mass Wordpress Installer ??

Ive looked at a few on the internet but cannot make my mind up on whats best. Whats peoples views and experiences here ? Anyone recommend one ?

Depends what you are looking for.

WPMU - is great if you are also going to use Wild card DNS and if you want other people to be able to create blogs. But you are restricted to your own domain.

Blog Ma-tri-x P-R-O - is great for mas creation of blogs, but again it is resticted to creating only on the domain you install it on.

BlogSlammer - (I have not tried this one) but I believe that you can create and manage blogs across a many domains.

There are alot more out there, but I have yet to try them. I am systematically working my way through them at the moment to find the best one that works for me.

im going to want to use it for putting wordpress installs on one server but multiple domains, so it will need that function

So you can use BMP for that. it sets up installs into seperate folders, then you can just point the domains to each folder.

Wp ManagerDX lets you create sub domains without having to access cpanel, it will auto load plugins and themes you want and activate them for you, it will strip out the default blog roll links, it lets you manage your blogs from a central location, it allows you to update blogs all at once or one at a time. On thing I will give you a heads up about is that you have to make sure that your host will allow remote access to your cpanel. If you have HG reseller or Blue host it should not be that big of deal. If you do not you can try installing the script again on a different domain on the same server and use that domain as your admin area. That way you are installing from the inside of your server and not trying to remotely access. (I had to do this on another host.) I will be posting a new thread about a slick little auto blog system I came up with by combing several different plugins.
