Let me first start by saying that I had a lot of trouble making money online when I first started out. I had a lot of problems. I had trouble focusing on projects and when I did focus long enough on them, in order to, take action, I wouldn't finish them. I had information overload etc. Lots of problems.

Years later, I'm very successful online...

This thread is not only about diagnosing your number one problem, but also to find a solution for it. There are plenty of problems that people face when it comes to making money online. There are even more solutions to these problems.

What's your biggest problem?

I don't have any problem, but the #1 problem of most people is EXCUSES, always EXCUSES.

"EXCUSES are like assholes, everyone has them" - Platoon

I have them:

I would rather surf the web, instead of working.

I would rather watch t.v., instead of working.

I would rather be drinking beer at the bar, instead of working.

I would rather be doing a million things besides working, but I do it.

Everyone has excuses, but the people that are successful online fight through that and work and focus and finish. Cutting out the distractions and excuses is vitally important to a person's online success.

I'm an IM coach and I agree that people make plenty of excuses. I make it as simple as possible when dealing with those people. You either want it or you don't. I'll give you the information to take action on and either you really want online success or you don't. If you don't, lots of luck with the day job.

Just made my first $100/day! I didn't really have a HUGE problem getting there, but I have learned to stay focused and to not get frustrated to easily and give up.

If anything, the biggest challenge (I don't like the word 'problem' lol) was knowing when to stick with a product or system and when to give up ship. If I was still pushing the stuff I was at the beginning, I'd never make $100/day. I had to move on and find more profitable streams.

My advice to anyone is to take action and don't get discouraged. Keep at it and you'll eventually find something that will work for you. Like ccpro said, don't make excuses. You're gonna hit speed bumps. Accept it and learn to move on or move around them.

you see ... EXCUSES. Use alternatives or get around it!

Yeah, I agree. Paypal is very important to me and my online business, but there are plenty of alternatives, I just happen to use Paypal. Not to mention the countless CPA networks that you could use to make money, Clickbank etc. etc. etc.

Biggest problem for everyone is "cause and effect". People believe too much is classical physics.

People believe in the newtonian principle that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Not true. Open your eyes and see the truth.

You work harder, you earn more money. So you stop working hard, and your money runs out. So you work hard, then you stop, and it goes on forever.

Break the cycle, make the leap, and have some faith. You'll get where you want to go.

Hey John,

Congrats on your first $100 day. Yeah, you bring up a good point. There are plenty of shit out there to promote, but there are also plenty of wonderful things to promote.

Sometimes a person has to stick it out and sometimes a person has to jump ship. That is why it is important not to not put all your eggs in one basket and to promote several things at one time and experiment.

I get new ideas for making money, all of the time. Some of them are good and I put them to use and some of them that I try, end up not working and I move on. You have to stick it out and persevere.

Procrastination #1

Starting to many projects at once and not finishing one #2

Although I don't make a $100/day yet. But I have managed to scratch out about $10/day on semi autopilot.

my problem is SHIT HAPPENS

always seems to get me LOL

If it can happen it will, and it will happen over and over again.

1: I have a newborn, its almost impossible to walk away from view of him without fussing.

2: He sits on my lap while I do stuff online.

3: He rips the hell out of my arm with his little razorblade fingers but stuff gets done.

Go with the flow, and things can get done.

Another point that I want to cover is all of the people that just read and read the IM forums and buy and buy countless products and never take action. You can have a PHD in Internet Marketing and not make any money online. You can know damn near everything that there is to know about Internet Marketing and not make any money online.

If you don't put that knowledge to use, it doesn't do you any good. I see this all of the time. I use to do it, I've come across countless people that make this mistake, it's a big problem. Don't be scared of success.

I don't have a problem either, but I think that for others, it is LAZINESS! People are reading this stuff, but they never actually try it.

Secondly, it's LACK OF CREATIVITY! Everyone is waiting for someone to tell them exactly what to do and then just sit back and let it run itself. It doesn't work that way. You have to put some thought and hard work into it.

Congrats on the Newborn!

I don't have a newborn, so I can't relate to that distraction, but I had plenty of problems on my journey to where I am now. When I first started out, I was down to my last $100 and my car had just blown up when I was on my way back to my day job. All I had was my computer and my Internet connection. I needed to make a living online and here I am today. That was a few years ago, but I didn't make excuses, I just got it done.

Time: is also my second problem.

If I have it, then its instantly filled with a task.

Im sure I have 100 projects that will be never be finished.. I started this week finished 3 so far.

3 down 97 to go.

Time can be a problem for people, not just lack of it. It isn't always just lack of time, it can be what people do with that time. I've coached people that do IM full-time and I will give them simple tasks that should just take an hour or two of focus and it takes them days to accomplish them. They don't focus their efforts, they don't time block or have a schedule, they just don't utilize their time effectively. If you're lacking on time, you better focus on utilizing that time more effectively.

I live my life with shady IM.

Its causing problems like a f*cked up social life and mantaining a normal relationship.

Money isnt all but my goal is to live this way for 2 years more and then move to Ibiza.

When im there i still can continue my work online but ill go more low key.
