I'm trying to get one of my clients websites fully indexed, however it's been over a month and only 11 of the 89 pages are indexed. Is this just by nature, or is it Google telling me that there is something wrong with the pages that aren't indexed? If it's just by nature, what else could I do to get these pages indexed quicker? I've added them to linklicious and haven't had any luck yet. I've also had NoHandsSEO comment blasting with these URLs over the past two days... but that hasn't really shown much success yet.

    Also..

A number of my websites are taking longer then usual to update the number of links to my website reported in Google Webmaster tools. The number hasn't updated in a little under a week... Is this a sign that Google hasn't crawled over my newly built backlinks, or is this just a delay in reporting?

DO you have links between your pages? If not and you havent done any deep link building is normal that your pages are not been indexed. You can try with social bookmarking for example.
About your second question dont relay on google webmaster - use yahoo site explorer .
    hope that helps

Some of the pages are linked in between each other, though there are about 40-or-so that aren't... as they were created with that the WP Plugin for local domination (you add city names, and it auto creates a page with that city name and your page content...) and they can't really be linked to from anywhere else on the site.

I mean, I guess I could add a plugin which adds the link to the footer and rotates them... though I don't want the rest of the site getting de-indexed.

You need to make sure that the search engines can crawl and index the pages efficiently. How "deep", meaning how many clicks from the homepage, are the pages that aren't getting indexed?

How many inbound links have you sent to these pages that haven't been indexed? Have you tried linking those pages from the pages/posts that are already indexed by Google?

Well if you want to check if there are any errors in the website structure the best way to go for it is ask your client for access to webmasters tools. If not, get him to check for crawl errors.

If it's wordpress just rebuild the sitemap and resubmit it.

Lastly why not just social bookmark all of them. I am sure you can find some service here or on fiverr that will take care of this for 5$ at most.

Google will only crawl about 3 layers deep at a time so if your pages are deeper than that then you need the sitemap so it can crawl them all. Where is this getting the content from on the local pages? Could be that those pages are seen as duplicate?
