what's scrabox harvester based on

    i'm wondering what's scarabox harvester uses to get the links, does it use search engines like google and the others or is it something else...say if i search something in google would i get the same results as in a gscrabox harvest ?

    Yes you would.
    However, SB uses some build in footprints for different blog platforms that makes sure you will only get results that are actually on that platform.
    So if you select 'wordpress' and use your keywords, you will get results based on your keywords AND on wordpress footprints.

    The big advantage of SB is that is is using proxies. You can harvest thousands of links without being banned by Google.

    I'm wondering how feasible is to mask your _own_ WordPress sites so that harvester tools won't find it, thus preventing some spam..

    That might be possible if you remove all the footprints from your theme files.

    and what about forums?...there are some out there that are not indexed by google is there a way to find them?

    Yeah you would get the same results, you could also you Big G platforms from other countries.
