I'm trying to take over a niche in my city. My competitions have websites with good domain age, but they don't have the exact keyword in the url.

I found an exact keyword.org for the keyword, so my question is, which one is more effective? Domain age or exact keyword in the url?

I know they are both important but I need good suggestions so I can dedcide if I want to buy an aged domain, or buy a new domain with the exact keyword in the url.

    Any suggestions?

I would get both.. like you said they both have their advantages.

I also think it depends on the niche, but I would go for the exact keyword first and see what happens... then grab a nice aged domain and you can potentially get 2 spots on page 1 and see what works best in the process.

I think domain name is more important. I had a new domain (couple weeks old) with no content, only my basic Contact, About, Privacy, Sitemap pages and I was ranking top 20! I'm at #12 since I added content (1 page).

My site is a product review site and the top few ranking sites were links to buy the product on places like Amazon, Walmart, QVC, followed by a couple of other crappy sites.

I don't recall saying I will outrank Amazon and Walmart for the top spot, nor did I call them "crappy" sites, the sites that followed them and ahead of me are - sites with one page of content related to the product. There's a couple of articles from an article directory as well. The competition is weak. My domain is focused on this product while the rest only have 1 page.

My whole point was I had an exact match domain with no content, only the pages stubbed out where the content will go and I was ranking fairly well. I'm also ahead of walmart's actual product page for this product. Their reviews.walmart.com/productname has the number one spot. Walmart's website has been around a hell of a lot longer than mine and I give credit to my current ranking to the domain name.

Exact keyword is more important rather than domain age...
