Mine is the one on top.
Im currenty ranking page 3 for the Keyword.
Can anyone tell me what is holding me back from being top 10/5?
It cant be backlinks, since i (almost) dominate there.
Is it domain age, PR or Pages indexed?
Gotta be one of those 3...
    Any help is appreciated.
My domain is exactly the same as the #1 spot, only with a "-" in it (its .com)
    The domain is'exact-keywordreview.com(mine) vs exactkeywordreview.com(competitor)

    Nice job with the backlinks!

I've found that when I break into a new niche I really have to go significantly over the amount of links that everyone else has. My thinking has always been that my domain age, trust rank is holding me back so I almost have to use "overwhelming force" to jump to the first page.

Also, what is your on-page keyword density like? I've found for my sites that the closer I can get to 2-3%, especially at the start, the better I rank. It's sometimes hard to work the keyword in that many times, but you can always pull it back a little after to rank well.

An exact keyword phrase is harder to beat with a TLD is harder to beat than a hyphenated keyword phrase website, I've tried it before.

Also, it helps to take a look at what the first 1000 backlinks of his are, or if you have seo spyglass or something use that. Then determine the average PR of his urls and where they come from. Are the majority of them forum profiles, articles, high pr comments, web2.0, redirects, spam?

You could then try to mimic his linking strategies and see if you rise in the SERPs. Other than that you do have put more effort since your domain is hyphenated. It's still better than having extra words though.

How are you promoting your website? It doesn't matter if you dominate the number of backlinks to a website. Relevant high pr links will shoot your site through roof. I saw someone with 100 backinks in #2 beating the rest of the competition that had at least 20,000 BLP each. It wasn't a low comp keyword either.

Finally how is your on-page SEO? Do you have all the meta tags filled, h1 tag, keywords bolded, italicized?

    Hope that helps.

whether your backlinks is just some of sb or xrumer blast? if it so, then try to find high pr, related, do-fol-low backlinks for your site, maybe it can help you. IMHO

    Ok
    To-Do list:
    Increase KW density
    ReCheck Onpage SEO
Try to Mimic comps. Linkbuilding strategy (going to be expensive, he has a mixture of bought links and blog networks (linkvine and so on).
Get High PR contextual backlinks (hard one)
Blast even harder to crack 200k backlinks

also the site isnt really stable for the keyword
Its been on page two for a few days, then back to 4 now on 3.. (google dance)
Maybe time will show google how to rank my site.
i hope so cause im looking to sell and right now its at 4k$ / month but i want it to be at 10k$ before selling it.

    Thanks for all your help

If your site's facing google dance, don't blast your website with more backlinks, just wait or add more content to your site, let the time reveal your rank :D
