    Hey Guys,

I recently started up an instagram account that i'll be using to target TeeSpring sales eventually, but I was curious about your thoughts on what's considered a solid amount of followers (all organic) and average likes on my first day?

I started the Instagram account about 24 hours ago, and followed a lot of relevant people manually. I also was commenting when people tagged me in photos, and commented to reply to anyone who posted on my pictures.

I ended the day with about 250 followers and averaging 50-60~ likes per photo. Is this a good start? Should I keep pursuing it for a few weeks at minimum and see where it leads?

I created a Facebook page for the niche as well, but only had 4 people like it yesterday with the link in my IG bio, so I deleted it. Should I recreate it and keep it up even it isn't seeing much traction?

    Thanks alot!

You created the account 24 hours ago and you have 250 legit followers... why would you ever give up?!

Keep on doing what you are doing and give it a few weeks at least.

Haha, wasn't sure what kind of progress is considered steady or not. I'll definitely give it some more time and see what kind of results show up. Thanks for the reply

You found something that works, stick with it and get away from BHW for a few days. Oftentimes people come here when they have a problem so if you read it too often you'll start freaking yourself out.

You are on the right track! Most people get 100 followers or less per day. If you can keep that growth rate, you will reach your goals in no time.

Did you get those followers by following? If yes, be careful to don't follow a lot of people because it might work for a few days yet you will eventually get a follow block.

Ah - Didn't realize this. I have been manually following people to gain followers, as well as using hashtags strategically and comments/likes/replies/etc. I did notice that after I follow like 50-100 people, it gets to a point where anytime I click the follow button it just reverts back (Doesn't let me follow).. When this happens, I generally wait a few hours and start again.. Lather, rinse, repeat. Is this what you mean by a follow block? Or should I be worried about a more permanent issue?

My account is linked to my personal InstaGram account.. So it's linked through both my phone number/email address technically

Yes, you might get a block which lasts a few days. Since your account is new it is recommended that you don't follow more than 200-300 users per day. As the account ages, you may increase by 50 or 100. Try increasing the limit by 25 each week. If you don't get any temporary blocks, then its good, if not, decrease your limits.

Sounds great - thanks for the tips. Think I'll hold off on following for a whole day or two... or three.. I'm following 1,000 people lol.

No clue... Think he was saying max number of follows per day

In 2 days it wont matter because you will have alot more. Those numbers sound good for 1 day tho, but dont get too crazy this is a long term game. You can have a few thousand soon easy

The manual following part is easy but how do you plan to unfollow them? Are you going to unfollow also the ones who are following you?

I wasn't planning on unfollowing them. Was just going to build out the account organically, gain traffic/likes/comments, and then either take advantage of OG Ads, shoutouts, or URL re-directs to sites like TeeSpring or something. Why unfollow them? I feel like that's more likely to make lots of people unfollow you back

Well because eventually you will hit the maximum following limit of 7500 users

Ah, didn't know that was a thing. Not sure what I'll do then, I'll figure something out/find a program to use. Haha. May just have to unfollow them manually depending on the success of the account. Any recommendations?

Haha :D I was referring to the method of unfollowing them. Do you prefer using software or doing it manually? Thanks for the information!
