High Cost and free shipping IMHO. As long as the site looks GOOD you might get people to pay a BIT more, and I've had an easier time converting with free shipping. BUT... every niche is different so you might do some testing. Cheap shipping is also an option, so there is middle ground.

Depends on the value of the product, CP versus SP, then factor in the shipping costs.

Test both and at multiple price points!

...Though in my limited experience shipping physical items I have always gone with free shipping.

Low cost products would not necessarily attract more customers, they would consider it low grade. Higher price with free shipping works better.

You should split test and then decide which one.

Free shipping works well with bulkier stuff, I just ordered tyres for my car online and they were free shipping - part of the reason I bought em.

Different people think in a different way. So, it's best to try both - free shipping with a higher price, no free shipping with a lower price - and analyze the results.

I always go with high cost products, you actually need to optimize and learn either way their two different niches that react different and have a different market segment.

Depends on the products you sell and the maximum distance you could ship to. Users always calculate and compare the difference between expenses of shipping and price of the product (with and without free shipping). You can find an answer just by thinking in the buyer's point of view.

Buyers usually go after something that is "free". It usually grabs their attention seeing it and may increase conversion. You can run an experiment to test both of your approach and see what works well between the two. Trial and error if I may say.
