What's better for traffic? Domain with keywords or domain with brand?

Hi, I've been selling products online for a few years without a lot of effort put into SEO. Recently a business associate of mine suggested I change my domain to something more unique to my business to help reinforce the brand (as opposed to a domain that is full of keywords). The example he gave is that "nutritionformen" is a domain loaded with keywords which Google loves, but something like strongman is better for brand recognition and long-term business success.

I'm at a point where I need to make a decision. Should I continue with a keyword-rich URL, or should I switch to a URL that is a bit more vague/unique but great for brand recognition? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Does Google look less favorably at a unique URL (rosettastone) when compared with a keyword-rich URL (learnspanish)?

Stick with the keyword-rich domain. Google looks favorably upon that when it comes to rankings, unless you over-optimize.

You don't need Google to drive traffic. There are plenty of other ways so I would focus on what's best for your target audience.

Monitor direct traffic changes because they reveal more about your target audience. A good domain is easy to spell, easy to remember and easy to share with a friend. Google could deindex your website for whatever reason so it makes little sense to base all your decisions on them.

Search engines make up around 12% of all internet traffic. I'd go with the brand like Amazon, eBay, BlackHatWorld (lol) if you plan to sell products. You could always use the keyword domain to drive traffic to the main site. Focus on humans, not machines like Google bot. Hope this helps.
