what's an easy way to rank high in google for not too competative keywords.
If the keyword has very low competition, you may be able to rank on keyword-optimisation only, i.e. your site having your keyword written enough times.
However, this will not work in 90% of cases.
Google decides on its rankings by looking at the number of backlinks pointing to a site. A backlink is like a vote of confidence. A site like wikipedia will have millions, hence wikipedia being the 7th most popular site on the net.
Check out the backlinks of your competition. Then, build your backlinks to beat them. They must be from high page rank ******** sites if you wish to gain rank quickly.
Do not build too fast. Space it out over a few months. If you build your links too fast, google will realise that your site is spam and penalise you.
Post unique press releases optimized with your keywords you are wanting to rank for. That is one easy way to do so. Also, social bookmarking is also a great way.
Actually press releases are just a part of it, in fact you need to create a network of linking sites to each other and your main site, all related to your main keyword(s) and have all set without forgetting the 2.0 properties and some bookmarking, etc take a looka t my signature maybe this can be of help for you..
I also know some other tricks will share privately but not here for not exhausting my own systems.
