Whats a typical conversion % for promoting products via your email list?

    just wondering whats a typical conversion % you can expect when promoting products to your email list? 1%?

    Nobody can tell. It all depends on how hot is your email list.

    I strongly suggest you to do your own experiment, split test, retest, test again, test again, and again.

    It's going to depend on how targeted your list actually is.


    So if you have a list of people who are trying to lose weight, you may be able to get 10% or 20% conversion rate, or maybe even higher if you are promoting a new product with a good sales page.


    If you have a general list about pets, and you're promoting a dog training program, you may not get a very high conversion if any.


    Something else you need to consider is how well written your e-mail is.

    One of my lists converts at around 70%.

    Another list at around 10%

    Yet another at around 3%, but this one actually makes me the most money.

    There is no one answer to this.

    In my experience, double opt-in subscribers convert at a higher conversion rate than single opt-in.
