These days web hosting companies do have a lot of flexibility with their hosting plans. You can upgrade or downgrade your hosting account as your business progress meaning that your hosting can expand as your business does. As a starting point of the business you can start with shared hosting plan and later upgrade the package once your website require more resources.

I know some hosting company frown about porn and warez but for clothing, I think, almost all of the hosting company will be ok. maybe some hosting company that is owned by nudist might reject you.

Even though you mentioned that your site will pick up fast because you know a lot of people, Unless you know millions of people and at least 100k of the will visit your site daily, I don't think you can worry about heavy traffic.

That being said, just go with hostgator, the hatchling or baby plan will do. I have a site that has 3k visitor per day and I haven't experienced any problems.

Wouldnt worry about too many visitors because 'the high volume of people you know'. Just start out with basic hosting package at one of the big hosts. You'll be fine.

i think you should check hostlover (search this in google)

You should start with smallest plan and when your site grow then upgrade your plan.

I am currently using this hosting and i think it is perfect you can try hostgator also.. but there plan are little costly hostgator is also good site

Well you can start with basic hosting for single domain on hostgator ( hatching ) plan

When choosing hosting you should check for Up time , and server speed and support from the hosting company

form what i seen over the past few years hostgtaor stands up for its reputation some people might have had problems with it but i never did

and you would need some CMS where you can start selling your products in your case cloths

Choose word press with woocommerce its easy and user friendly

you can set up billing etc

to accept credit card payments you can choose authorize.net if your based in USA

if different country try to choose the best suitable payment gateway which accepts local debit and credit cards

and domain you can get it with godaddy never had a problem with them stay away from 1and1
