I already know you always need good relevant content. I'm asking because I see lots of good content in channels with so little action and engagement. So is there any good proven strategy? or ranking sauce?

Right now Im trying to rank a video in a so-so competitive niche (diff country than mine) Im trying the unlisted method with claim social authority drip fed views and signals. I'm building backlinks on GSA to Youtube ( about 150 per day) and a few articles in some 2.0's with anchored text to Youtube vid. Anything else I should try?

Sounds good so far. Quality is value, materials that help people find the information they need. Add high quality images of products and HD video. Create a website and blog and continue building from there. I personally would try and find a YouTube user with mass subscribers, followers and likes. Try finding one that has something in common with your channel. Contact them and see if they would mention your channel for an exchange in service or a demo of your product. It works! And can give you a huge boost! Best of luck!

You can never go wrong with thoroughly thought out tags, title, and description that all have the keywords you're wanting to rank for. Make sure you don't just throw in a million tags in the bottom of your description as that'll get your video penalized and you may receive a strike on your channel.

Having a high retention rate is also a major factor in ranking so do everything you can to keep your viewers attention for as long as possible.

Awesome! I actually did an experiment on a so-so competitive keyword with an old Youtube video for a client of mine ( pretty much got paid to experiment) ( which no one was really fully optimizing their videos in ) needless to say the video was jumping pretty quick and I started seeing many views rolling in about 1000 per day, so now I'm trying to rank in a pretty high competition KW Im throwing all the tools on the table. Does anyone recommend PBN blogposts for a Youtube video?
