Hello BHW,

I have seen contradictory opinions on what a good anchor profile is and what sort of keyword density is good to use, and what is "overoptimized", in your opinion, in 2015 :

- How should a good anchor profile look ? (%of exact kw in anchor, % of generic keywords..)
- Is it safe to say you can use more keyword anchor with an Exact Match Domain ? how about exact match SUBdomain?
- What sort of range is safe for keyword density ?
- Is having keywords in URL+title+meta description+h1+content+images names/alt attribute now "over optimizing" ?

The easiest way for your niche is to check the anchor profiles of websites ranking at the top for your chosen keywords.

As long as one keyword is not over 10% you should be fine, well at least in me case and what I read online.

I have my domain and brand as my top 2 anchors at about 10% each and then the rest is my money keywords ranging from 5-8 percent for each keyword.

Its been 1 month and some change, im still going strong.

You want to keep keyword density under 2-3% generally speaking, and for anchor diversification, you always want to target different variations of your target keywords.

Example: Car Part Manufacturer
Anchors: Car parts, car manufacturers, auto parts, auto manufacturer, auto car parts, selling auto parts, etc.

Good anchors profile would be main keywords below 5% and keyword density should be around 2% but its more important for your keywords to flow naturally within your article.
