    Hi

O.k this is the second time that i am writting this post. I just seen the t.v show outsourced so I have a question for you.

If I was to start up an outsourcing company based in India like the opne in the T.V show and I was to charge $350 for 4 x 40 hours of work for a personal employee, what services would you like to see ? e.g virtual assistant, artical writing etc

So throw some ideas at me guys, let me know what you think. Would this be a service that you would require?

    Cheers

O.K let's make thsi realy interesting, for everyperson that posts on this thread and gives a decent and interesting idea/answer I will rep them. So please just don't put sh*t on the thread so you can get a rep because it won't work.

-First off, one that is current on SEO techniques. So many SEO companies are worthless using techniques and ideas from years prior that are not as effective anymore.

-Writers that claim to write in English who actually can write in English.

    -Originality and creative thinking.

    -Trained employees

That's just a few off the top of my head. Don't offer services that people are clueless how to do. It's very irritating dealing with VAs who say they know something and you spend half your time training them because they really don't.

Many VAs I have worked with have been worse than trained monkeys.

Edit: I take all that back. Sell noobs crappy services so I can easily outrank them :p

    hmm, interesting thread.

The employees should know what they do, know proper english, hard working, perseverent, off the top of my head!

Maybe doing some instructional videos / .pdfs for the employees would help.

Sweet, the replies are great. Trained employees that can actualy read, write and speak fluent english. who are reliabie and consistant. Up to date with the latest SEO techniques. Give them a training video or manual so they can get educated in the VA field. (that's a good idea)

Any other sugestions? What services would you guys like to see? What jobs would you like you VA to do?

If your employee should know everything, then why would he want to work for you ?

I am planning on opening an outsourcing company very soon as well. =) It seems everybody and their cat does it.

    Well............ here it goes =)

keyword research (+competition, potential, domain availability etc)
    directory submission
    blog commenting
    social bookmarking
    profile links (normal, .edu, .gov)
    Forum posting
article marketing (+2.0 properties like hubpages etc.)
    video marketing
    Press releases

Then you can also do header design, banner design, product creation, favicon design and branding (fb, yt, twitter...). that's all i can think now .. but the list is bigger than this, of course.

You can also sell keywords, full sites, link packets for your customers' new blog posts etc.

The sky is the limit. And remember, every idea that comes in your head has the posibility to transform itself (with your help) into the real world. How cool is that? :) Basically, anything you think of can become reality (with a good plan and persistance)!!!

    quick edit:

I recommend starting a quick ASSOCIATION (i hope i spelled that one alright).

Basically, you're the administrator and the marketing expert. You get 30%. spread the remaining 70% between your employers. Easy Peasy. They'll stick to the hard working brotherhood and not leave to start a business on their own.

You need to be sure everything is in order and spend your time finding customers for your coleagues! Skype, Google Docs, branded .com, presence on major IM forums / blogs / fiverr (ye, quick 4$ :D), and don't forget to build a list. =)

Good question but its just a hyperthetical question. The only answer I can think of, off the top of my head is that he/she wants job security with a established business where as doing it by themselves they may not feel that secure. Theres also the social aspect of it where they can meet new people and make new friends.

Tell him/her to read this post then: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/07/10-reasons-you-should-never-get-a-job/

Ah, so many people have the 'i'm a victim' mentality!

I think one of the most important is for the VA to ask questions. I have had so many in the past who "think" or "understand" what I'm asking them to do. When in reality they don't have a clue and end up wasting a days work. I would have rather have the VA tell me they don't understand and walk them through it, rather than waste a day away.

Interesting link but we will always need workers, we all can not be bosses. Everybody has a part like cogs in a wheel, and if we all don't work tiogether everything will fall appart. But this thread is not the mentality of a human, it's about what you seek in a VA if you were to use a outsourcing company.

ok before you setup your company....whatever service you provide....just remember to be specialized in atleast 2 of them..... not a jack of all trade but master of none....pickup 1 sect and become its master....thats how businesses run.....you dun have to do everything.....

and a great marketing team is a must for a outsourcing company....

For example, I see madcontent dot com banner here on BHW. they seem like a legit organized outsourcing company (and have some seo / webdesign sister companies as well). I asked them in chat and it seems all the sites (and all the boys & girls) have the HQ in the same real life office.

    Ahh, how nice.

Anyway, my advice is to check top 5 outsourcing companies and borrow 100% guaranteed working methods.

Alternatively, you can add FreelanceSwitch dot com in your feedreader.

Well for me, outsourcing companies provide proper training. Every staff hired by a company go through an extensive screening process. Give them specific exams and conduct personal and professional background analysis. Your files and data are secured and confidential.
You are assured that the staff you lease are 100% working for you and dedicated because of they have supervisors who check and manage their staff to ensure great quality service.

To have them working 24/7 this would require atleast employing 3 VA's on a rotating roster. Would anybod else be interested in them working 24/7 for you?

In what way will way will they be dealing in adult stuff? Is there a chance that you can give us a couple of examples? Would anybody else be interested in ahiring a VA that is specificaly for the Aadult niche ?

i would like to ask about the pricing, and what price point people consider reasonable as well as what should be included (proxies/accounts/etc.). or maybe those are upsells?

For what I have seen on thsi forum and a couple of others, the going price is about $350 US for 40 hours a week for 4 weeks for full time VA, Part time is about $250 for 20 hours a week for 4 weeks. Though these are based in India what i have seen. So I also would like to know if you believe this to be a reasonable price?
