Howdy

I am sick of my job (business actually) I find that it no longer holds my interest, the result income is dropping rapidly. Clearly it's time to move on to the next adventure, but what is it?

No employees, the ability to outsource most work to independent contractors, and the ability for income to continue if I decide I want to sit on the couch and watch tv all day.

Internet marketing comes to mind. I have several ideas working but no real experience with the exception of a information product where I was the product a few years ago and a phenomenal internet marketer launched with $1M in sales in three webinars.

By the way I have two sites coming together right now and when they get a little closer to completion I will post for feedback. One is to be monetized via adsense, and the other will be a combination of advertising and some affiliate products while building a list of real estate investors.

I am going to be talking with this IM friend of mine tomorrow about another product idea I have for him to launch it as my partner to teach me this business and to start learning more about it, but here is a question for the forum.

If you needed to replace a $25k+ per month income rapidly in internet marketing and have it be a consistent measurable income what route would you go?

Info sites with ads?
affiliate marketing of products?
an ecommerce shop selling products?
dropshipping on ebay and craigslist?

Is that kind of consistent income realistic?

Is it possible to hit it in a year?

What didn't I ask that is going to sneak up and bite me nine months from now?

I moved this to an area where it will get a few more views.

I know very few people who can swing ~1k/day, let alone do it consistently year over year. The ones that do have been in the marketing community for a number of years. If you really want those kind of figures and you have cash to spare, paid traffic is about the only way to get there; product launches will bring you income but it is not residual unless you can get your members on a continuity setup.

I would advise you that marketing at that level is no less work than a career-type job, so don't buy into the hype that you can sit on your ass all day and do nothing. There is also the very real possibility that you will like it even less than what you are doing now, if that turns out to be the case you will fail here regardless of how motivated you think you are.

I would start with the dropshipping on ebay and craigslist idea and throw in amazon, sears and buy.com first. White label and drop shit in demand products are alot easier to manage than trying to run traffic, because that could be costly. After you have some passive income I would work on the affiliate angle and ecommerce.

Thats just my take. If you can get ebay and amazon going you would be set.

Soap that was the honest feedback I was looking for, and to be clear I am not the type to sit around but I do want some confidence that if I take a weeks vacation there will be something to come back to. My ideal would be to be able to spend the kids summer break from school travelling with them and checking in.

Bob, I was thinking selling products would be the best bet, I have not browsed BHW for info on it yet and in my reading of endless blogs, articles, etc I have not seen much "how to" in that realm, but anyone who ever made a dollar in affiliate marketing is happy to sell you a product on how they did it.

It would take a tremendous amount of work to hit that in a year. Starting out I would say even 25k your first year would be an extremely high goal. Good luck, you will make mistakes, but just bounce back and work harder.
