Hi guys,

As there are a number of great thinkers on here I would really appreciate your advice on what you would do in my situation.

I am an entertainer and my website has been online for about 9 years. My content hardly ever changes as my services stay the same.

I have the following rankings in Google - Keyword 1 (8) Keyword 2 (76) Keyword 3 (60) Keyword 4 (74) keyword 5 (76).

I am really low on backlinks and seem to have problems getting them.

As this is my work website I can't afford to get it banned so need to do things that are above board or will not get google hating me!! lol.

So would you 1) carry on with the site and create a link wheel etc 2) change the site to a wordpress blog 3) any other ideas.

As my content is mostly static is there anything else I can do?

I really appreciate your advice and thank you in advance.

Cheers

If i were in your situation i would buy Zrumer and use it, with that you get high rankings in all places and lots of backlinks, and with using Zrumer you wont get your site banned.

That is a advice what i can give to you.

start a blog.yoursite.com to keep things updated and possibly draw in new people. It can even be something stupid, but related. You can throw links at the blog which ultimately end up at your main site.

Example: Hi all! This weekend was great! We had 2 gigs with 500+ people lined up for "My band name" (linked to your main page). The audio and visuals were amazing. Thanks to """""" for inviting "my band name" to this amazing event.

I think you mean xrumer and it is NOT a good thing to use unless you know HOW to use it. You could screw yourself if you do not use the uber powerful xrumer correctly. Dont get into the xrumer game until you are 100% confident in your abilities to actually use it correctly

Nice thought. I will agree with whodi and suggest you to add some fresh content into it. Or, the other way is start making few backlinks per week. When you reach like 50 per week then improve it to 70 or something like that. There is no other solution to your problem other than link building and fresh content.

with a domain age of 9 years I doubt your site will be hated by google. Just build backlinks accordingly.

Example 1st month 50 backlinks, 2nd month 100, so on and so forth. Dont make to many in just a short period of time.

Thanks for your advice so far guys. Much appreciated

Yea i wouldn't use any tools like Xrumer if you're concerned with staying Whitehat.

A thought: Though your services stay the same, it never hurts to think up new pieces of content you can add to your site... or look at which pages have poor stats and rework them.

As said above, make a blog... but at yourdomain.com/blog or something similar, not on a subdomain.

You can attach to it a blog or even a forum with interactive content, to attract people.

I will say go for blogs as other suggested... it could be blog.domain.com or domain.com/blog/ both are ok and will help you keep frequent update on your site...

Start basic backlinking and optimization and it will help your keywords to move ahead in ranking...

Don't try some blackhat tools, you might regret it later... BH tools are used for such purpose where you don't regret if some thing gone wrong, but this is your main site and work site and you don't wanna risk it... right?
