I am very fortunate in that I don't NEED money right now. I have a little bit of time. It would be nice to be pulling in $100/day one year from today.

I'm not desperate; I have time to build something. What kind of IM business would you build if you had one year to do it?

good thing you don't want to get rich overnight , in my opinon start reading everything for the first 2 months , hence you will have a general idea of what's going on,the methods , the tools being used and stuff like that , once you start figuring things out start to test the waters and start implementing what you been reading , eventually things will start to make sense to you , for example when i first joined I had no clue what was going on , a lot of terms I couldnt understand and stuff like that , hope that helps

If you want something long term and sustainable, try offline marketing and getting those recurring customers. Though there are many options so just find what suits you best and give it a go.

Totally with hateandbreak. Offline is a great niche to get into as there are lots of sub niches (SEO, apps for business, web design), so it opens doors for diversification, and scalability (automate, outsource). This is what I've been working on recently and I think it's a good area of IM, for these reasons, as well as being legit, like you can end up with a business you can be proud of as oppose to wasting peoples time filling in CPA offers or buying shit they don't need..

First, find out what generally interests you, has the potential to be profitable and likely has undeserved niches. You'll be doing this for at least a year so it has to be something you have an interest in.

Narrow that interest to see can how it can be profitable across many platforms. See if you can do eCommerce, affiliate and AdSense, as an example, all within that niche. This way you can utilize your resources, such as PBN's, over many properties and you won't have to double your efforts or your expenses.

Ensure that it is scalable. Start testing to get your confidence up. Record all your SERP rankings.

Once you are more advanced see if you can turn that into an SEO client business. You'll have the experience, the knowledge and the proof, from your recorded rankings to sell businesses your service.

    Step 3: Profit

Absolutely. Anything that is going to make your client more $$$ and bring in an ROI, you can charge good money for. If you decide to go this route, focus on providing as much value as possible. Ideally you'd want to avoid being just like every other sales person trying to pitch a product/service right away. Instead, focus on giving intrinsic value to the person and form a solid relationship with them. Stuff like Marketing with FB Ads and building their presence and getting them more customers through the door/clients booked, they will love you for it, and will pay you well for it.

Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

I never understood why people make threads like these.

It would be like if you were 50 cent and asked Eminem, "yo man, can you send me a project file of your next hit song before you release it"? Any good ideas would just get stolen. In fact, one thing Eminem talked about is the concept of "stacking ammo". He said it's helped him more than anything else in his career.

Its something I can relate to cause I've been doing it my whole life.

Anytime I get a great, specific business idea I write out the entire business model and put it in a shoe box. I don't post about it on some blog. I don't talk about my ideas on forums or recommend other people do them (most of the time). These are all creative, highly unique ideas. Many I've applied and made good money from.

When you ask this type of question on a forum you're just gonna get generic, vague and useless ideas.

Think about it, you're asking other people how they'd make money if they had 1 year to build a business. Anyone with great ideas is not gonna share them.

I see this type of issue a lot where people ask for ideas. They can't make a simple habit of thinking about ideas, researching markets and new businesses, remixing ideas, etc. Similar to how an artist sits down and writes all his lyrical ideas. The more you do it, the better your ideas comes. And you'll think of tons of shit ideas but you'll also think of lots of great ideas if you practice enough. The type of ideas you circle with red ink.

It literally is "practicing creativity". It's one of the most important skills an entrepreneur can have.

For example, when I had to name my first business it took me 3 months just to do. I scraped thousands of relevant business names in scrapebox. Opened up a thesaurus, I wrote and wrote and wrote and remixed and remixed. Put this word here. No, doesn't sound right. Let's try this word. Lets generate a list of names. Let's put an alliteration in the name. Let's create an online poll. Back to the paper. Lets ask a copywriter. Over and over I kept working out names in a list until 1 day a name hit my head and I knew that was it. I had the perfect name.

Thinking of business ideas really isn't any different. I find brilliant new businesses. Old businesses. Businesses in markets I like. I write what they do. One after another. Then I tweak the product, tweak their model, mix business ideas together, look for ways to improve, many times I just steal ideas... and I keep stacking my ammo.

TBO, I think all real entrepreneurs do this. Cause ever since I was 16 I was always thinking of ways to make money. My first idea was to create a meth lab. Made some money but not a very smart idea. Down the road I started finding discontinued products from all sorts of stores and selling them on ebay. Then I sold banned supplements. Then I sold poppy pods. Then I started moving into digital ideas. I started selling bootleg seminar dvds. Printing covers, labels and shrink wrapping that shit (everyone thought they were real). I'd sell stacks of 12 dvds for $140. Started selling bootleg porn at auctions (I may try to do this online in the future, like create a putlocker for porn). Started selling something else that I still make money with so I won't talk about it.

The point is.... there are GREAT IDEAS EVERYWHERE.

Some of the quickest ways to make money, unfortunately, is to just rip other peoples shit and monetize it. If you look at how much money is generated from counterfeit or bootleg goods every year you'd shit your pants. And I'm not talking about just downloading some torrents, burning them on dvd and selling them. There are some brilliant things you can do that I just can't talk about cause I've invested too much time in them.

And you may have gotten some ideas just by reading this but I really suggest you start thinking of ideas everyday and write them down. I see so many marketers on here who couldn't think of a simple profitable idea if their life depended on it. But when you become OCD about this shit you'll realize there are great ideas EVERYWHERE. You just have to mine for them and stack them like you're getting ready for war.
