had a local site that got hit last year october 4th 2013 with penguin. Did the 301 redirect (penalized site) to a subdomain with the same site, same content added a little bit to a blog and maybe a few pages doesn't matter because it came back the next day. So fast forward to october 18th 2014 a little over a year later, site got hit again with ebola.

    Would you

    a) Make a new subdomain and redirect the penalized subdomain to the new one?
    b) Revert and delete the new penalized subdomain and go back to the normal site and hope penalty lifted?
    c) Make a new domain and redirect everything there?

With an attitude like that you are less likely to get a good response..

Personally I would stop redirecting it if you want to stop getting penalties. Delete the site from google index using webmaster tools and start on a fresh domain. This time use less spammy links. If your original domain is brandable and a great domain you could try a redirect back to it and watch for the penalty to get lifted, but it could end up being a huge waste of time. Start over and be more careful this time IMO.

First of all, calm your tits cowboy.

Once you are in a calmed state, rethink your question and the background you have given. Based on that, NOBODY will be able to give you a proper response, as you have not mentioned what was done on the website, links built, and all of the elements surrounding the on and offsite efforts.

Without knowing that, advising you to take either path would just be a blind call, so it might be a great idea if you want to expand on your initial post and add a bit of background.
