This is my first ever post on this forum although I have been lurking around it for some time. If the thread is totally misplaced, my apologies.

What I'm wondering from you SEO masters is what it would cost to hire someone to do some SEO work.

The keywords that I would like SEOed are local keywords, an example might be "Blue Collar Service" "Weird little town". There wont really be that much competition for the keywords - and I don't really care if the page ranks high in the long run, although that would be a bonus. All I need is for the page to get top rankings for a month or so, after that, it does not need any ranking at all. Its all very short term.

I might add that this would be needed for maybe 4-8 unique sites with different keywords every month. So I'm guessing the people doing this stuff would be able to make a "bulk" deal. Say if I give them 4 jobs a month I'd get some kind of discount.

I could do this myself but I just don't have the time.

Anyways, what do you guys think something like this would cost?

    Cheers,
    Sneaky

It is almost unreal to rank a website on first page during one month. Of course you can try churn and burn methods, but the sites you want to rank will burn right after you can get some ranks.

If they are low comp, and easy to rank (would have to be checked), I'd say $200 - $300 for 4 sites a month is a decent ball park figure to work on.

You better do things yourself or hire a VA to work according to your criteria. Easy competition keywords can be ranked if you know the tricks.

Vary seo tasks not to over do. If you still need VA I am vacant for a part time :D

Why don't you post the same thread in "hire a freelance" section and ask them to pm you their prices......:)

Local SEO services in the BST section would be where I would start. IIRC, they are not that expensive for citations, 2.0s links and business submissions.

Ask one of the sellers (Some of them have threads up for a couple years now) what they would charge for what you need.

If it is all local SEO, as you know, it is a lot different than ranking globally, which most of us specialize in.

Hire a freelancer may get you some options as suggested, just be careful that you are actually paying someone who can do the job, and not someone who will take your money and say "SEO is not guaranteed".
