What will Facebook look like in 2026?

Facebook in 2026 will likely be less about viral hype and more about stability. Reels, AI driven recommendations, groups, and communities will keep it relevant, especially for business and older demographics. It may not feel as "trendy" as TikTok, but it'll remain strong for ads, monetization, and niche rather than disappearing.

In 2026 Facebook will likely be more AI-driven and video first, with reels, groups, and communities continuing to perform best. It may lose some younger to newer, but it should remain strong for ads, monetization, and older or interested-based audiences rather than disappearing anytime soon.

Facebook is likely to remain strong through 2026 by evolving with AI-driven discovery and reliable monetization, even if newer platforms continue to grow alongside it.

I think Facebook will still push hard into 2026. Reels engagement and recommendations are quite good. It seems Facebook is offering preferential bids to users to compete with other platforms.
As for BH niche campaigns, Facebook is still the most ideal platform because Facebook still has a few loopholes for this niche to operate. Other platforms all have very strict policies for BH niches to operate.

Facebook has a large user base and remains beneficial to users. The meta algorithm poses only minor challenges for content creators and advertisers. Hopefully, 2026 will be easier for advertisers.

I’ve been working with Facebook for quite some time, and recently I’ve noticed many creators shifting to other platforms like TikTok, YouTube.
But as I see it, Facebook seems to be running smoothly, monetization is working fine, engagement feels more stable, and some niches still perform surprisingly well.
Personally, I think Meta is adapting better than people expected, especially with AI content recommendations and Reels.
What do you guys think?
Will Facebook continue to grow in 2026, or will it slowly lose ground to newer platforms?
Facebook won’t disappear, but its role is shifting

It’s more stable and utility-focused, while newer platforms get the hype and younger users.

Facebook is still growing, not collapsing or losing significant market share, and its growth rate remains strong.

Facebook is unlikely to disappear or collapse in 2026; instead, it will probably continue as a stable, mature platform while newer platforms grow faster. Meta has adapted better than many expected through AI-driven recommendations, Reels, and improving monetization, which keeps engagement strong in certain niches, especially for older demographics, communities, and advertisers. While TikTok and YouTube will keep attracting creators chasing rapid growth, Facebook will remain valuable for consistency, revenue, and scale—meaning it may lose cultural dominance, but not relevance.

Facebook will probably stay big for ads and groups, but Reels/TikTok-style content will keep dominating younger audiences.

I agree with your assessment. Facebook has definitely become less effective for traditional products like shoes, bags, and clothing, mainly because the buying journey is no longer as seamless compared to other platforms. That said, for BH products, Facebook still presents strong growth opportunities due to relatively looser enforcement compared to alternatives. At the same time, Facebook’s shift toward Reels is a major change worth leveraging. With strong creativity and engaging short-form content, Reels can still drive impressive reach and make it possible to sell even traditional products successfully.

It will definitely continue to grow. Although users are increasingly using other platforms, the number of Facebook users will not decrease.
