was just watching a video about worst business decisions ever and got curious.
Thinking Bitcoin had peaked at $40 in early 2013
Ive read about bitcoin in 2010 and I was like... well, this sounds really silly and in this way i didnt take a seat in tulip bubble of our times.
Selling a bunch of Blockbuster Video stock 6 months after buying it with insider information.
Cost me some real cash.
I'm digging the new selfie.
Switching to SEO hoping to leave software developing for good.
Selling a bunch of bitcoin in 2012 to pay for a vacation.
Mine wasn't a decision really it was more of a stupidity case. I ranked my agency website 1st in Google for SEO + (my)country and forgot to renew the domain and it was snatched by hugedomains and now it's for sale for 15k usd
Jumping into highly regulated industry with my first business. Big upfront cost and didn’t have enough motivation. I could make it profitable, but I realized I don’t event want to do this in my life.
on the other hand, it was very cheap lesson considering the knowledge about myself and my life goals that have developed after that.
Selling Bitcoin back in 2014
Thought bitcoin was a joke
Building a very complex website for a service that nobody wanted - even for free. Worked on it for at least 10 months with a developer. Fortunately, I turned it into an affiliate site, and now it's making passive income, but the journey was long.
I can't say I enjoyed reading your bad decisions but it is teaching for me and probably everyone else.
Mine was selling all bunch of Printers, Electronic Paper Cutters and other equipment I use to have to print business receipt books. even though it was profitable for me I figured it was kinda hard labor (it wasn't! that's lazy talking) so I sold everything. these days my website is blooming and I receive many orders which I print them as reseller in other print shops and lose about 1.5-2$ for every book i print, that's something in the range of 500$ a month I could put in my pocket if I printed them on my own. anyway i'll buy new machines soon but I did lost a lot of money on my laziness.
I think the bitcoin rise caught a lot of people off guard
So i was about to buy 250 etherium when it was pennies for per coin and thought to buy a new game on steam ! worst decistion ever.
Getting involved with drugs due to a back injury. Diverted a lot of my profits to shit I just poured down my throat. I'd have a lot more money to play with these days if I hadn't blown so much of it on temporary fun. Short of that, I haven't really made a lot of business mistakes short of being late to the party a few times for certain methods. Seems like I have a knack for finding loopholes about a month before they're patched (go me!)
