What was your taxable income(IM) in 2008?

A few threads here the last few days inspired me to ask. Hell maybe I am wrong about this and way more people are making great money.

So just for IM income how much did you make after expenses but before state, federal and payroll taxes.

For me it was $0. But I am curious who is making big money. Also how much time would you say you put into it in 08. Hell a guy who only made $3k might look small but if he only put 10 hours into it the guy has room to scale up.

And for those who don't know estimate and then spend a few hours getting your records in order because you need to be able to get past an audit if you work for yourself.

Taxable income is one number -- money in my pocket is another!!! This is my subtle way of encouraging you to incorporate if you are making money in this biz. The benefits are totally worth it.

i love reading these type of threads and seeing which people are bullshitters and which actually tell the truth. it gives you an idea about who you can trust on the forum...

what are the benefits on incorporating and can u inc. a proprietorship?

Yes because this is the great way the IRS figures out how to audit

i made over 20k this year was my first try at internet marketing next yeat i am 100% positive ill hit the 6 figures

I am not sure why it matters, If your asking to get an idea on how much can be earned from IM the range is quite broad. Some earn a couple hundred bucks a month and there are a few who earn 7 figures a year.

Generally,I think you will find that most people will not discuss how much money they make.

What I made wouldn't even feed my damn fish for a year. I think, roughly, $1,600 (after taxes.) OMG! That sux!

Set up an S corp out of delaware. No state taxes, and you're exempt from federal up to a certain dollar ammount. Oregon and las vegas has anonymous copr filing, so it' really private.

i made about 4,000.00 from BH this year. I'm gonna try to really make this work this year.

Hi all!

With the expectation that Uncle Sugar's Happy Minions are everywhere, I would have to say that not only did I NOT make any income from my internet marketing activities this year, but that I suffered a net loss, in an amount that will be determined when I finish balancing my books next month.

I would, of course, pay any taxes owed on any income that I did make because it is the law and the right thing to do!
