I'd just like to add that I've been on an 80s kick lately. Namely, Simple Minds.
Their album New Gold Dream is classic, IMO.

I also grew up in the 80s, slightly earlier. 80s music is nice but I am very sick of retro dance.
I do like the 80s Depeche Mode and Metallica (esp before the black album)
Sometimes I enjoy a bit of 60s and 70s music, like Cliff Richard and The Shadows, especially when I listen with my father-in-law. He will tell me names of bands which I never hear before. But I will not buy them. I can't listen too much of these.
