Guys,
So I always read those articles that mention that it's really important to have a blog on your site. I have a fairly new ecomm shop. But i am wondering what type of articles or subject does one post on those? infographics kinda don't make sense to me either. I seen people display their instagram feed instead of writing articles. Is that a good idea? Please help

You need a blog because ecomm shops don't rank well in google.

A few ideas:
- Fashion trends (seasonal, demographic wise, etc)
- Product or Brand Reviews
- How-to content (i.e. How to assemble the perfect wardrome, 5 essential accessories for every man, etc etc)
- General articles such as: "how to find the perfect fitting dress online"

You get the idea. But when in doubt, copy your competitors. Find your top competitors and run over to SEM rush and get the pages that drive the most traffic for their blog, then simply re-write them to your own styling.

Regards,

Thank you for this. SEM rush is kinda pricey though. is there any other 'affordable' solution?

I think the first 30 days are free. So you could sign up and get all the data you need in one month. They let you export the data. Or, and I can't think of the name, there is a service that lets you get access to SEM and a bunch of other tools for like $30-$40/mo as kind of a group buy type thing.

Otherwise SEM does give you the first 5 results for free for each site you analyze on a "free" plan.
