I believe we all know that for certain keywords, Google Images appears to be part of the organic search results.
But what really triggers it? how are they triggered?

    Please advise. Thanks

When there is more image results than search results. Then a bar of google images will appear at the top of the search.

I might be missing something, but I dont find that the case.
For example, I searched for 'kitchen cabinet'

on search results; 23.800,000 and image results; 97,000,000

So at the very least, based on my research, this isnt really the case.
However, what I did realize is that Google seems to realize which keyword should show images, and which arent.

For example, when I searched for 'dogs', it returns images for dogs
but when I went with 'dog training', it doesnt show images of 'dog training' or 'dog trainer'

So yeah.. any inputs on this?

I have also found that using internal links that link to the image that has the keyword in the ALT and description works well also. I have had large success in having my images show first before my sites in the results.

I am sorry if I didn't reflect this question properly, but what I am trying to investigate is:

Why images appear and shown on certain organic search results and some don't?

I am talking about the entire "google images" as a whole, and not ranking the images,
if you get what I mean....

    bathroom.jpg

Click above to see screenshot / example. Thanks

Probably related to the ratio of people pressing images after searching for that query.
    I could be wrong tho.
