Every day we receive lots of questions from publishers among which the most common one is: what traffic sources are allowed for the particular offer promotion in dating niche. The most important word in the previous sentence is PARTICULAR offer! Though there exist certain general sources approved by most of advertisers, it should always be borne in mind that each dating offer may have it’s own restrictions that should be observed.

We'd like to cover first the commonly approved sources for most of dating offers.

    Approved sources:

    - paid CPC traffic (ad networks)
    - display traffic
    - email traffic (spam is strongly forbidden!)
    - in-app advertising
    - social media (not all merchants approve this source)
    - SEO (search traffic)
    - blogging
    - contextual ads (and again not all advertisers admit it as a good source)

And now let’s review the sources which are more often treated by advertisers as non-desirable.

    Most frequent forbidden sources:

    - email (sometimes advertisers don’t allow it)
    - chat (though some merchants allow chat traffic)
    - social media (some offers strictly forbid this source)
    - SMS traffic
    - content locking (strongly forbidden!)

And it goes without saying that such methods of advertising as bots, manual or automatic lead generation, incentive tools, spam are all taboo! By using any of them, publishers will definitely be blacklisted by the advertiser with a risk of 100% leads rejection.

Dear webmasters, what affiliate sources convert best for you in dating niche?

I dont understand but you opposite your own minds :

    Approved sources:

    - paid CPC traffic (ad networks) - THIS OK FOR EVERYONE
    - display traffic - what different from Display and Ad Network CPC traffic?
    - email traffic (spam is strongly forbidden!) - how you imagine EMAIL traffic without SPAMING emails? Also you mentioned emails traffic as forbidden also - so email is allowed and forbidden same time.
    - in-app advertising - in app advertising usually goes for CPC traffic and is the same.
    - social media (not all merchants approve this source) - social media is most used source I bet and you mention it as allowed and forbidden also.
    - SEO (search traffic)
    - blogging - bloggin is social media btw.
    - contextual ads (and again not all advertisers admit it as a good source) this goes for ad networks and display traffic.

    Most frequent forbidden sources:

    - chat (though some merchants allow chat traffic) - I know who allow it.
    - social media (some offers strictly forbid this source) - so far I worked everyone allowed it
    - SMS traffic - sms traffic is same as email spam. if they allows email trafifc they allows sms also.
    - content locking (strongly forbidden!) - content locking for ADULT is really forbidden. Same as incentive stuff when you tell someone to do something to get something.

P.S. - You clearly made this thread to promote your signature, dont you ? :D

The initial purpose of this post is to help webmasters better understand which sources are treated by advertisers of dating offers as good, and which are more often considered to be inappropriate. As for the ambiguity why the same sources appear in 2 different sides - everything's simple: it's because requirements of advertisers differ, for instance: for some offer email marketing can be forbidden, when for another offer it is more than welcome. And this point was clarified in the beginning of the post "each dating offer may have it’s own restrictions that should be observed" :)

The overall message from us to affiliates is: please read carefully EACH OFFER restrictions before you start promoting it! This will help you save time and efforts instead of arguing leads with advertiser trying to save them. If you promote campaign with pre-approved traffic type, there will be nothing to worry about, the only thing you will care will be where to find a larger purse to keep your revenue :D

Sorry late to this post . But as an advertiser with a pick up artist offer and we similar affiliates as adult dating offers. Your correct in that each advertiser
is different and need to talk to them or read the rules to follow . In our case we do allow some of the forbidden traffic sources like Email CAN SPAM Compliant but we do take chat as long as its a chat bot..
