I am about to buy a VPS.

What tools are you running locally and which on your VPS?

I have BMD, Scrapebox, TweetAdder, AMR...

And which do you keep running all the time vs. on demand?

    Thank you!

I dont run any tools locally. I have xrumer, senukeX, captcha sniper, AMR, TBS, No Hands SEO, and scrapebox on a server.

Thanks. I was leaning that way.

BTW, how does No Hands SEO compare to Scrapebox. Isn't that what it is for?

just wondering, why do you guys run everything on a VPS?
Wouldn't it be easier to run everything on an old dedicated PC at home? Is it slow home internet connection or what?

Yep slow home internet connection, at least that's my reason to use a VPS.
I run Scrapebox, BMD, Senukex and AMR on it.

Keeping your PC on all night is a pain in the backside.
Also - I play games (made a lot of cash from WoW and other games a few years back)
Although I do that on another PC - the online games mess up my internet connection. I'm only resting from playing SWTOR now cause the servers are down.

    Ahh - that's the life!

But a good question deserves a more in depth answer. Why? Where and What?

    My workflow for the past week or so is;

3 hours a day creating content - whack it all on the tools on my VPS (I did have 4 accounts - but reducing that to 2 cause I'm just not using all 4)
Check it on my laptop a few times a day to make sure it's all running smooth - other than that the rest of the day is mine.

    • Scrapebox,
    • Ultimate Demon (now in testing..seems to have two licences now rather than one and the number of WEB2.0 sites is now over 30 and sign up rates have increased a lot as well)
    • Link Farm Evolution
    • No Hands SEO (might swap for Scrape jet)
    • Second account is just Xrumer
I have content tools on my desktop. Keyword tools, article writers, spinners stuff like IBP etc. FTP client..you know the usual stuff.

Ultimate Demon has replaced AMR and BMD on my server.
No Hands SEO is just if I ever run out of content to post - I turn it on. Just checking out Scrapejet today - may get it in the next week or so. Again that will be server based.

    Anyway

To paraphrase Alec Baldwin in "Glengarry Glenross"

    A.B.L....ALWAYS BE LINKING!

And that's so much easier with a server than it is with your own PC.
In fact I have no idea why everyone doesn't do it. If you can FTP a website you can run a 2008 VS.

I run Market Samurai, Traffic Travis, Ultimate Niche Finder and camtasia on my home PC...along with all the organisation stuff like excel and word...

Then on my VPS I run SenukeX, Scrapebox, xRumer, AMR and Tweet Attacks...

For me it is partly a slow home internet connection (my VPS is a 50mb line) but the main reason is the VPS I use comes with all the tools pre-installed..saves me from needing to spend unnecessary cash flow on licensing etc...

That's a good point... I never thought that some VPS include software.

They won't be licensed - many won't update (becasue the authors detect the multiple use of the same license) and many are also on the BHW "Do Not Share" list - which means whoever is providing it risks (if they are e member) an ban from these forums.

Seen threads where people are QQing becasue "free" copies of software on FVS don't work.

Duh - nope - that's becasue, although they may have been "nulled" (i.e no call to author server to check licence when starting them up) they also won't be updated with the latest scripts either - and if that doesn't happen - the failure rate will go through the roof in weeks..if not days.

If this software is worth it for you - then buy it.
If you have all these great pieces of software and can't make enough money in IM to buy them legit..then maybe IM is just not your thing.

And do check the "Do Not Share" list put on this very forum by the mods before you go around sharing this stuff. I believe it's an instant ban.

Not moralising - just telling you how it is.

You will waste your time and money on "pre-installed" black hat VPS. I thought I was going to save a few bucks and try that a couple weeks ago. Went to BHTDownloads and haven't been able to connect to my VPS for 3 days. I went to support and they ran offline as soon as I asked why. They haven't been back since..

If you're looking for cheap software, I also just got VIP over at IMnuke.com and wow. They have a huge list of tools and so far everything that I've tried has worked.

Anyways.. I do not run anything from my PC. Not a single SEO tool is even installed on my home/work boxes. I do everything from a dedicated server... Not because of slow connections (20mb on both) but because of a couple of other reasons...

1.) I do not want to be running around all over the place looking for my files. Dragging USB keychains everywhere in order to do my work. Everything is on my server, my saved files, profiles, logs, etc. I don't have 1 thing at work and another thing at home.

2.) Some of my legit licenses are very expensive and only can be run from one machine. XRumer for example can only be installed on one computer and you can only change that once per month. CLAD is also locked to a machine.

    XRumer 7 --X
    SENuke X --X
    AutoPligg 6
    VenomSEO
    Monster Mage
    CLAD Genius
    ScrapeBox --X
    ProxyFire --X
    Traffic Travis --X
    Keyword Scout
    Market Samurai
    TBS
    SpinChimp --X
    AMR
    Sick Submitter
    UBot Studio Pro --X
    SEO Power Suite --X
    Tweet Attacks/AC

The ones with X are the ones that I use regularly. Others are ones that I either have only tried and do not use or do not use YET.

Got Market Samurai, TBS for my PC

And Xrumer 7, SENukeX, AMR, Scrapebox, Tweetattacks, SliQ, Sick, Ignite, SEO Powersuite, UBot, NHS on VPS.

All tools are running fine, no problem at all :)

And yes, all the VPS are not good and will cause you outage. Read and google for reviews after you shortlist some.

Doesn't UD do what LFE does?

There is more cross-over now, and I hardly ever use LFE because of that
UD posts and creates PLigg and WP article site accounts on WPMU sites (as does AMR and others to be open about this)

There is benefit in controlling your WPMU, Pligg farm with LFE - but on balance i don't think it's something I will keep doing for long.

Most places do have software that is not legit. But I have been over at Extreme SEO Tools now for some time and must say impressed. All software is legit, SEnuke's indexer can be full sometimes, but still get to use OCR and it's licensed. Xrumer has no limit on threads either! Definatley recommend and for the price of what you get. Can't be beat.

I run everything on the VPS I rent. Reason being is it just slows the pc down. Well internet connection anyways. Especially Scrapebox. WOW that takes up bandwidth. NEver tried Xrumer on home pc but I bet that beats out scraepbox bandwidth wise. Best to just find a fast connection on a VPS and stick with it.
