man I am having a bad month. my AM from one of my networks just emailed me and said that a certain advertiser is requesting that my links be removed due to poor leads. SO my AM is asking me to verify how I am sending traffic and why all the leads are poor. According to my AM, it sounds like all the leads are not converting. (probably true due to blackhat techniques). but what do I tell them now. I dont want to be dropped from the network all together cause I have multiple offers running making money. I know the obvious is PPC which is what I am going to say but how do I explain the bad leads. can I say that my site got hijacked?? what have you guys done in this case.

I always mix in some whitehat techniques to make sure they convert some.

I would say PPC and let them know it's not your fault. Ask for suggestions

    Good Luck :)

What are you doing, iframing just the e-mail submit or something? You gotta make sure you mix in at least some genuine traffic too.

But for the moment being yea definitely say you are sending PPC traffic. Probably you will just be dropped from the advertiser and not the network, just play it smarter next time :)

if your main focus is bad leads and the network bans you then you don't want to be with them in the first place. there are plenty of networks out there that will just tell you to stop running the offer and to move onto another one and will still pay you for what you've done.

its a little game that many networks are willing to play.

yeah for that perticular offer. I have about 3 or 4 offers going all using different techniques. This is the only one that isnt converting. after 2 months thsi is the first time this perticular advertiser is complaining to my AM.

I am not worried about getting paid for the bad leads, I just dont want to lose the whole Network.

Tell them to fuck off. They can't prove anything. Why would they remove you from the network if the leads aren't converting. Can you control these leads? (technically not, but you are filling them out) NO! YOU CAN'T!

Don't be afraid to stand up to them. You can't control what all the traffic decides to do.

At most scrub the entire offer. Not removal. Stand up to them.

Would agree with that. Just don't use direct "Fuck off" attitude... lol

Recently had problems with 3 diff networks regarding bad leads. Few $hundreds $ in each of them.

Two of them decided not to pay for the bad leads.... after negotiation and standing up for myself (gave them proof for my traffic source and asked for more details about the so claimed bad leads from their side) while blaming the supposedly mother fucker merchant who is giving them false info regarding the leads... both decided to pay part of the money and said they can't pay for all... fine by me.

Afterall, leads were all blackhat and it was my fault in the first place for not mixing up some whitehat leads.

The third network banned me all together without notice and wanted to take all of the money. They cameup with a lame excuse (not even bad leads) but they said a lead signed up more than once from the same IP, which by the way never happened as far as I know (the only way I can think of that may have resulted in this, is that the lead clicked the purchase button more than once and it registered two or three times). They also said the referral was blank, which also is false since I only fake the referral.

I gave them proof that they are wrong (traffic source) and asked for proof from their side about their claim. They didn't provide... just asked me to signup again. WTF? What about the money? they said they will pay only 1/4 of it which was generated in month blabla.

I acted as if I haven't heard them and asked again... "what about the money?... you owe me $xxx to be exact. You also haven't answered my question and provided more details about this duplicate lead and when exactly it was recorded." Then they said ok, just openup a new account and we'll send over the whole amount.

Point is, standup for yourself even if you are a blackhatter.. don't stutter and don't delay contacting them. Prepare aforehead everything you can provide as proof and figure out the weak points in their claims.

Get ready to accuse the merchant for all of it if needed... that it isn't your fault that the leads, if any, decided to cancel the trial....etc. and this doesn't make them bad leads by definition.

As was mentioned earlier though, try to get accepted to as many networks as possible, so if you have to walk away you still have others. And don't be afraid to walk away. I have a couple pain-in-the-ass networks right now that I'm on thin ice with but I'll just ramp up with other networks if I walk away or get banned. Occupational hazard in this business.
