I need help getting some backlinks. I browsed through some offers and some seemed too good to be true ( 5000 backlinks to gov and edu websites) for $5.
Is that possible?
What would a reasonable gig be like? How can I spot a good offer.
Examples please

It depends on what type of backlinks your site needs, also the age of your domain, etc.

You're question is like asking someone "I need food, but I've never been to a grocery store before, I've heard that there's some food at these grocery stores that costs $5 and could feed you for a week, is this too good to be true?"

Honestly, you will get what you pay for... what are you looking for exactly? There are some great services in the BST section. And really, they arent that much more than fiverr and you know what you are getting.

Sure it's possible. But it's most likely either spammed to death .edu blog comments, or hard to index .edu profile backlinks.
That's still okay for $5 in my opinion. But if you want higher quality, you have to pay more for it.

send me a pm, i can offer you comment link with max. OBL of 50.
so they are not spammed. most of them hav not one comment.
you can choose where these links should come from.... .com or .de etc...
can deliver up to 1 million links depends on your needs

those could be profile back links or comments....ask the seller what the links are about, or check previous comments from buyers

to people that dont believe you get quality on fiverr:

I just ranked a keyword with 22k exact searches on first page. Still fighting to get to the top but I saw a nice jump in my traffic. You can get good results from fiverr if you choose the right gigs and know what you're doing.

I want to look at your pm box now :)

there are some nice gigs on fiverr (like mine for example :D)
but you gotta search for them and sometimes you will get nothing out of it, other times you will get a lot

the ones which are good you just make your favourites and do again when needed

I am adding some profile backlinks and comments on high PR sites. My domain is fairly new. It's been on for less than 2 months. It is so time consuming though. I will need a gig or two. I wanted to do an informed grocery shopping :D

I don't have much money to spend. Fiverr means only $5. I will check the BST section and see what is there.

Does the OBL number matters?

Since your site is new I'd recommend starting out with building up a lot of web 2.0 properties with unique content and link them to your site. Do a search on fiverr "web 2.0 account creation" or something like that. You'll want link diversity as well, but quality counts. I've bought some really good gigs on fiverr like a senuke blast, submitting an article to article ranks and other high pr blog networks, etc. There are definitely some good deals on there that can work, but the key is to be selective. The best tip I can give you is don't point thousands of spammy links directly at your money site with a new site, unless your strategy is to churn and burn. Good luck.

Top rated seller and high feedback count is a good indication.

Thanks for the advice. Rep added :)

even if much is discussed here - there is no really help in link building. at least i have not seen it jet. because often is written you have to know which kind of links you need, check the competition in you niche and so on ...

i started quite late with link buliding because i was lazy but now i do the following for a my pages: (not all at once ... )

-social bookmark (fivver.gig)
-wikis (fiverr)
-edu backlink (fivver)
-i have my own auto unique content web 2.0 system started which is brand new and mostly PR0 but also PR2.
-boost everything with srapebox (except the money site :))

so i spent 15$ on a new site .... and the network you can do some autoblogs as well. if i have seen fast results .... no. but i still hope ;)

No, you see the idea with outrageous gigs is that you make a whole bunch of them with extremely loud names, then get tons of offers, never deliver or deliver some bullshit and then 50% of people kind of forget about it and you get their money.

But some of the others report you and eventually Fiverr closes your account.

Hey thanks for the rep, I wasn't expecting that!
To show my appreciation I went ahead and created some accounts for you (using senukex) on a variety of different web 2.0 sites and will PM you the Username's and Passwords so that you can log in to these accounts and post a unique article on each of them, and of course, insert a link in the article back to your site. Merry Christmas! :D
