I start college next week, presumed id be attending the same place as last year which luckily was a 10 minute walk for me. Today i received a phone call telling me that due to the lack of people in my area (3) we had to go to the main campus which is an 1 hour and a half long trip. Now this might sound like i'm being picky but believe me, i'm not. I have whats called Crohns Disease, i find that staying active stops me from thinking/worrying about it but if i had nothing to focus on, nothing to do then first thing that pops into my mind is my stomach and from there it gets progressively worse which can lead to me wanting to go to the toilet every 5 minutes which on a public bus is not possible. Lots of people, smokers, constantly stopping i just wont be able to do it. The alternative i'm looking at is getting a motorbike that way i can stop when needed, ill be constantly focusing on the road, people around me, the surroundings etc...

I currently don't work, and due to my course being 3 days a week working the other 2-3 including saturday would not cover travel, living expenses etc. Does anyone know of something that could help such as a student loan, something i can pay off once i start working. Looking at £1500ish to get a bike, insurance and protective gear.
Just looking for any other options really. Bare in mind i live in the UK.

    Any help/advice would be appreciated

Try for a special grant or something from DHSS? get assistance for taxis etc???
IMHO a bike is dangerous, but then again I understand your need to foucus on smt else....
maybe work on laptop when on a bus? get distracted etc...
also, does the college provide accommodation, even for a few days per week....

try to keep thinking of alternatives, and Good Luck.
