Hello. I have a channel with 200k subscribers in kids niche that has been demonetized since 2018. I hardly upload videos now because i don't make money from it. Is there any other ways to earn money through my channel? Is it against the YT's policy if i switch the niche to different type? Thanks.

no, no problem switching niches.. but you must do it to something your subs will like

Since it's demonetized try posting more frequently and engage your audience and create a new channel or buy a monetized channel and direct your audience there as your new channel

You can make Patreon account and also ask people to donate to paypal, with 200k subscribers you can make alot of money even if you are demonetize.

I've seen many channels in demonetized niches that are monetized. (i.e Reddit TTS)

You might want to send a message to a channel in your niche that's monetized and ask/pay for the information on how to make it monetizable.

Other than that you can:
  • Dropship products in that niche.
  • Create a Patreon.
  • Do the fake music copyright thing.
You've got many options.

Reddit TTS are those channels that put a robot read a Reddit post and its replies. (Such as r/AskReddit or r/NoSleep).

These are usually 80% of the videos I watch on YouTube, either posts from r/AskReddit or r/NoSleep.

You could try to do some affiliate marketing, create videos around a product then tell them to visit the link below the video.

another way would be to find “sponsors” for individual videos. Then in the middle of the video do a quick advert for them.

there are tons of ways to monotize a channel without relying on Adsense.

That's interesting. Example of such channels pls.
And this channels are monetized?
Cos last i checked, an article to text channel had very high post content with views barely up to 500

You can make money by directing the traffic to affiliate product, CPA, etc

  1. You create content that can't be monetized such as this channel.
  2. You create some songs/pay someone.
  3. Post them songs on another YouTube channel.
  4. Sign your music with a free label record or whatever else.
  5. In the videos of the unmonetizable channel, you put your music.
  6. You copyright claim your own video.
  7. You get paid on your music channel.
I don't really know about the legality of it, but for sure YouTube can fuck you up in court for something like this, but still.

If you check the music used on that channel, the videos have ~10-50 views, obviously.

can the unmonetizable channel have less than 1k subscribers & 4k watch hours?

If it hasn't been uploading content for a very long time, engagement would've dropped for sure. Checked that?

The copyright claim method is a loophole because you're just claiming your own content within a video and you're technically not monetizing the other content in your video. It's YouTube that decided you should be able to monetize the entire video and recieve 100% of the revenue or an even split, regardless of how the claimed content was used so I'm curious to see how they could take you to court since it's their rules that's allowing you to do so.

For example if a video has 2 copyright claims each claim gets 50% of the ad revenue, regardless of how the copyright content was utilized in the video for ex: a movie scene that is 99% of the video + an outro with your copyrighted song, you and the film company claim the video and will get paid the same amount lol.

This loophole exists solely because YouTube bows down to the media companies and their greed. A copyright claim will pay 100% of your revenue to the claimant(s), which allowed these media companies to unjustly claim videos that are 100% fair use and fuck over the creators.

There's so many people using the copyright claim method and some are making tons of money so I believe eventually YouTube will stop allowing music from independent music distributors into their content ID system. They wont fix the copyright system they'll just make it harder for regular people to have access to these services.

Upload videos - drive users to the site with display ads. Ads can be set to refresh, so while they watch video ads will brining constant revenue.

You can also move from YT to own site and run videos on own player and run ads the same way as AdSense does on YT, but you’ll be making 40% more.

if there is any possibility to appeal to get your channel montized , just do it

Thanks guys.

Well it says "you're channel is not eligible for monetization" on the monetization page. There is no way to appeal or contact Youtube. I used to contact them through creator-support email but now it's not available for me as i'm suspended from the YTPP.

Yes. The last video was few months ago and i'm pretty sure the engagement is dropped. But if i find a way to earn money from my channel, i will pay more attention to my channel and upload videos regularly in order to engage more audience of my channel.

You can do Sponsored Video & Amazon Affiliate.
Well, i've researched about affiliate programs such as Amazon but it does not support the country where i live in. It is one major downside for me as i'm not from first tier countries such as US or Europe.

Okay i'll research more about Patreon. Not heard about it before.
