️⃣ Update your timestamps with real SEO keywords. Replace generic chapters like “Step 1” or “Method 2” with keyword-based titles related to your niche. This adds fresh metadata and can retrigger discovery.
️⃣ Refresh your video based on timing. If the topic is time-based, update the title and thumbnail with the current year or season. For example, change “Best Side Hustles” to “Best Side Hustles for 2025 (Updated)”. This alone can reset your CTR and force a new micro test.
️⃣ If the video is completely dead, re-upload it with a better hook. New thumbnail, new title, and a stronger first 10–15 seconds can completely change how the algorithm treats it.
️⃣ Rebuild traffic from your own channel. Pin your dead video in the comments of your best-performing videos, add it to descriptions, and use cards + end screens to push viewers to it.
️⃣ Link your Shorts to your long-form video. Every Short becomes a new entry point and gives your dead video another chance to get tested.

A video dying after 48 hours doesn’t always mean it’s bad, sometimes it just needs a second chance to be tested. Keep going.
