Hey there guys- With the Holiday season looming around (and the lack of cash for the average guy afterwards) affiliate marketing (Especially on Clickbank), takes a giant dip. December is THE SLOWEST month for sales EVER. I don't want to work on any campaigns at the moment- i think it'd be a waste of time. I'll start again in january. So I was wondering, what should I do during the "offseason"??? I'm already going to work through Eben Pagan's Self Made Wealth, and maybe read thru some new courses and compile a list of to-dos for after the offseason, but wanted to know, what are you guys thinking?
In my opinion there is no off season. Sales do drop, but I dont give up because it gets a little slow. Build back links to drive organic traffic and increase serps. Start working on a new campaign so that when the spending does pick up you are waiting on them to spend. There is a lot to do, so get to work!
What you should rather consider is this: It's christmas time and a LOT of people are off of work. Pretty much ALL students are off school. This means that christmas time should be the busiest time of the year on the internet and if people have not got money at the moment then advertise free stuff (Email submit CPA's etc) or have them optin to your lists instead of selling them something and advertise to them again when you feel that they will buy from you again.
Well, when I said I don't want to start new campaigns, I guess I was mostly thinking of AdWords. It'd be a waste of money to spend on clicks only to see new results. Linkbuilding and serp work is a GREAT idea of something to do while I take a break from AdWords kinda stuff. And @ gimme4free, I was also thinking about promoting some younger-relevant products like FarmVille Cheater, because us younguns will have some extra cash after all our christmas gifts So thanks for the suggestions so far!
