I emailed a few lawyers around my area to ask them if they had a web developer position available? Well a few actually responded and I have sent my resume out to them. One responded with this question,

Can you take a look at the following Web site and let me know what projects you would prioritize if you were hired and how long they would take to complete?

he gave me a link to his website

    He needs a website = 1 - 2 weeks max.
He already is on page one for most keywords.

What am I supposed to tell him? What do developers do everyday at an office? Or what can I come up with that will keep me busy every day?

    - Is the site responsive?
    - Is there a CMS?
    - Is there a secured customer login?
    - Is the performance OK?

its on wordpress but its not responsive and the performance sucks but like i was sayin a new updated wordpress site with all the bells and whistles will take care of all that and im gonna be sitting there with nothing to do.. it seems like he wants to know what im going to be doing as well because he probably don't even know himself so I need to answer that to get the job

Developers usually don't hang out in the office... it's a outsourced kind of thing, plus you don't want to be hanging around the office too much as you will get recruited to do a bunch of tasks... tbh I think your approach is off... Sell your services at a flat rate our hourly. But if you really need a desk job, then you need to promote lead generation, seo, sem, social media, your web devolp skills will get you the interview,, saying shit like I can get 40-50 leads a month will get a full time if you need it. 40-50 leads a month is not too difficult, factor in craigslist, ppc, organic, social etc...

Whatever you offer do not forget to tell him that he is losing clients if he don do this and that

    Example-
responsive site (losing clients bla bla bla)
call to action (losing clients, bla bla bla)
