what this site does to get huge traffic

I asked him and he said do nothing just seo, the content is not so good but traffic is huge and sometimes about 1.5million pageviews/day, anyone knows the tips, thanks oops here is his blog, not mine: ngohaibac dot net

looks like vietnamese site and is 80,000 or so alexa rank
main keyword drawing visitors is 'proteus' which is Open source multi-protocol client for Mac OS X.
maybe he's getting some of that chinese 'traffic' from mp3mages tutorial lol
