    Usually :
    1. URL of the Backlink or you can give them Screenshot.
    2. SERP Movement if you monitor their site.

I give access to serp movement (via SerpBook) so they can see it 24/7...as well as a list of links built, articles posted, videos posted, etc.

You should use Internet Business Promoter (IBP) for report. It looks very professional.

This tool have been shared many times on this forum, use search button to search :D

Depends what all you're doing for him. Generally, I would include SERPs and possibly competitor SERPs. If you're building backlinks, I would include the number of backlinks at minimum and depending on the client, a full list of that week's backlinks. In addition, I usually include basic analytics info (visitors, unique visitors, pageviews, bounce rate, etc) along with any custom goals the customer has. ie, if their goal for the site is to have people subscribe to the email list or request more information how many users did that and what percentage of total visitors it was.

Lots of software tools that will help here. One that produces ranking, competition analysis and suggestions for on site improvements as well as long term records so they can see the movements.

I sign my clients up to a rank tracking (serpbook mostly and one has serpbuddy) and then use a professional tool like WebCEO to produce white label reports.

Before hand get someone here to do you a great business logo/banner you can put on the top of your report ($15 will get you a decent banner from here) use this on the WHite label reports and with most software you let it run - it takes a few mintes - you output as a personalized PDF file with your logo on - hell most will even email it directly to the client for you.

Have a look at the tools here. Also the help on looking after many offline clients with the links on this page. Remember - offline means outsource and automate. If you know what you are doing it's possible to service a $500 a month client with a $150 spend and 1 hour of your time.

If you have more than - say - 5 clients, and you are charging a decent amount (no way should any client based SEO be done for under $250 a month - and that's REAL low rent stuff - think $500 minimum really if you live in the West).
This software will pay for itself.

Also when you have it you can offer "Free Analysis" for new clients as a carrot. It will just take you 10 minutes and be comeplety hands free. Make you look very professional from the get-go and are a lot morel likely to get a better take up than someone who sends a document they cobbled together themselves in Wordpad or Excel.

First and foremost, changes in ranking positions for the target keywords should be reflected in the report.
Plus, a number of new backlinks and backlink analysis are to be included.
If you're doing on-page SEO as well, you can present what you have done to improve on-page aspects.
Some clients want to see competition analysis in the report.
So, overall the content varies according to specific tasks you do and to what your client would like to see in the report.
