It looks like the market is dead or something... I just put some new (real!) Dr Dre headsets on Ebay for sale, at a price that beat all competition, and NO sale!! :/
I also put some product on a local site, also for dead-cheap prices, and also NO sale!?
Other people told me they are seeing the same kind of drop in sales on these local sites. But, what about Ebay? That's kinda worldwide, but still very little reaction on the listings.
I don't get it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm working exactly the same way as I used to do last year, when I DID get some sales.
Or, is Dr Dre not hot anymore? It doesn't seem to be out of interest to me at all. So, what is going on?
Any one else also experiencing some changes in the market out there? I'm really curious.

Because the Beats by Dre market is SATURATED to the T with "fake" BBD headphones and most people can't tell the difference between real and fake!

Because she was old, worn out and not particularly well liked.

Damn! So, you think people rather buy them at normal price from the normal stores, rather than buying them from the internet? I guess this could be correct. But, what a shame! I have so many, from a company failure, and want to sell them before they get "out of fashion" :) I have some from brands like Sennheiser, Sony, Philips and Bose as well. Maybe I should put them on, since they are less likely to be counterfeited?
I also have some accessories, like special keyboards and mice. Maybe I should put them on.
Well, I guess I'll have to experiment. Of course, the thing is, it always costs money to list an item on Ebay. So, I have to be careful.

You are in a saturated niche that is going outdated. When they first came out it was hot, now its dying down and the next fad will spring up. You might want to also look into Amazon and see if you can get some account setup as a seller. I would leave Amazon as a last resort until you actually had to do it since it has a lot of bad reviews about "sellers" being "shutdown" for no reason at all.

They cannot test or see the unit. They dont want to waste their money fake, OEM, replica item.

Well, I guess I could try Amazon indeed. I've had other people advising me that platform as well. I'm gonna check it out today.
Also, there are still new models of Dr Dre headsets coming out all the time. So, I don't understand why the market would be saturated now. Anyway, I'll put some of my other products on as well, since they are less "hot" I guess.
The two Bose headsets I put on, are going to be sold though.... I put 'em on at a 99ct auction! Maximum bid right now : 99ct ! :bed3:

Thing is, mine are 100% real. And indeed, there's no way to prove anything, because a picture doesn't prove shit, because they can be found all over the net.
So, basically, these people selling fakes have fucked it up for me big time already.
Ok, I'll have to find other ways to sell them.
No problem. At least I know where I'm standing.
    Thanks for your input, guys!

well my answer may seem weird but try to raise the prices.

i mean, you DO GOOD to them but according to the "problem" with the fake items the really low price make the sellers think "he Must be selling fake ones thats why he sets the price so low".

sometimes really low price degrates the product itself. so try to raise the price... if you end up with sales with more profit then you hit gold :D

plus i recommend recording a video showing that the phones are real and put the youtube link in description or something like that. but i am not sure if this will hurt the conversion rate.

so try one thing at a time!
    good luck

Hey, you know what. I was kinda thinking about raising the price as well. But, it does indeed sound a little bit tricky, since I might end up to be the most expensive on ebay, and people are not gonna buy from me after all. I'm not sure about this technique. Although, if it does work, it would indeed be the best way to make more money.
I have been thinking about making more pictures as well, but since they are unopened sealed boxes, there's not much I can take a picture of (besides one of all the sides of the box)
Maybe I could make some kind of a video, like you suggest. But again, what should I make a video of? I can't go and open the boxes, because I couldn't sell them as brand new then.

Do a little more market research, Look at listings and see what sells and what doesn't..then make a decision on what you should buy

    Things which might help:

Let potential buyers know that they are looking at GENUINE product. (title/description)
Close up pictures from different angles
Provide proof of purchase if you still have one
Shill bidding - not recommended but might helps when doing A/B tests etc.

When selling items like Dr. Dre Headphones having a very high reputable top rated seller account will help you astronomically.

You are fighting a bad economy and a niche that was hot a couple of years ago.

Just re-list. Sometimes Ebay is busy sometimes it isn't. Last month it was like Christmas in July or something. Even people going to the post office noticed the lines out the door.
