Hello All,
Im currently at college doing a foundation degree in networking. Im finding it 'ok' except for the class doing excel stuff (for some reason I really struggle with all of the formulas and whatnot). Anyway, what do you guys think I should study at college? im interested in Marketing, Journalism and mainly SEO. Theres not an SEO course and im intermediate with seo anyway so my best option is to find courses that will help me develop those skills.

What do you suggest? Also note I live in england.

Thanks,
luke

Either computer science (so you can build your own sites and bots without having to hire anyone) or business w/ marketing.

Depends how smart you are.

As you had to ask this question I'd probably go with business w/marketing.

I'm a Communication Studies major and its an easy degree. If you want something practical, you should probably go with Computer Science.

Marketing and business classes would be perfect

Hahahahha, good one. :D

Advertising is a good major/minor for SEO. More emphasis on writing than in marketing.... which is good for SEO IMO.

Business as a major would be good. Computer science if you want to go that route... good luck

really don't thing you can learn more at college about SEO or IM. The best way to learn about this segment, it's to read forums, blogs, etc.

Remember, never trust no one, test it yourself!

Yeah, flx is right. You will definitely learn a lot more by reading and researching yourself than you will at a school.

If I were you I'd just take whatever classes you want in college and learn SEO on your own time.
