I like making websites, designing, building traffic, and I'm trying to learn coding now. I was wondering what major I should choose in college that are gonna get me a career in this field? I particularly want to learn how to make programs or something with SEO.

For programming go for a computer science degree. There you should also learn the basics of web design as well. It is not too hard to learn databases by yourself. Most of it will be .net visual basic and html these days. You will be able to program your own stuff and makes sites when you are done. It would get your foot in the door doing such things. On the other side of the coin, you could teach yourself those things. You could learn to code practically everything online / with practice. Which would be the better option if the complete dedication was there. In which case I would go for an internet marketing degree if you can find a program. Then you could use the internet marketing know how and your self taught coding skills and become an entrepreneur. It is somewhat of the combo I have delved into myself as of late.

If you have already make money by web design or things like these. I recomend you to choose another major. A major you have interest and will help your future goal.

Computer and internet degree are really unnecessary if you only want to make money online. certainly if you like program and computer, you can choose computer and internet major.

    Chilling at home!
I too like making websites, designing, building traffic, and learned the basics of a few programming languages. My major? Aviation Management :D

My thinking is this... Most of everything I know about IT is self taught and I am not planning on working under anyone with my skills. SOOOO, my management degree will help me with the skills I need when I build a business using what I know in IM/IT.

However, if you know that you want to work under a big company, Computer Science or IT Systems (think that's the name) would benefit you greatly, imo!

I would say major in accounting. As a business woman I see the biggest mistake internet marketers make is not know how to run a business.
You can have programming as a minor. As with any business you can have the most successful money making website but if you don't know how to run a business you will flop.
You have to have a working business plan first.
