So my affiliate site is targeting "best" keyword and I am sending around 40 clicks a day and yet no conversions.

My CTR is pretty good and amazon conversion rate varies a lot so I am just confused about what should I fix?

Probably the presell on your site. Typically the content on your site should be used as a presell so that the prospect is not just going to be sold by the limited content on the Amazon product page.

Add in features and benefits if you do not have that in place, explain the reasons why they want that product in their hands and not that it is the best product of it's kind.

So many review sites fail, in my opinion, because they talk about how the product that they are touting is better than the others and fail to talk about the benefits of having that product as opposed to not having it at all.

For example, if your review site is about Blue Widgets, don't accentuate about how they are the best dang widgets money can buy, blue or otherwise. Bring that up of course but emphasize why they need a widget in their kitchen, and how a blue widget in their kitchen will make them pancakes in the AM and then wake them up with peaceful guitar music.

Features and benefits, baby, features and benefits.

Yea I am missing that, basically I was under the impression that getting the click to amazon was the most important part.

Do you mean I should add like a summary review before the long review?
Example:- Pros & Cons? Buy or not?

Forget the cons... just the pros.

And why they should buy it.

If you are kicking around the idea of a new lawn mower and you go to read about them online, you may be prodded to buy the one that I am selling on my review site because I not only tell you why the one I am marketing is the best, I'll also make it sound as if you can't live without it.

    My mower has:
    • Electric start so you don't have to wear your arm out pull starting.
    • Superior wheel bearings so that it is easy to push and won't make you kill your legs.
    • An adjustable handle so your back won't hurt from being in an uncomfortable position.
    • A hydraulic lift so you can raise it to clean the underside easily.
    • A cup holder for your favorite cold beverage for those hot days so you don't have to stop in the middle to quench your thirst.
    • An umbrella to keep the sun off of you and keep you cool.
Each of those shares a feature and explains the benefit to the prospect so he knows that this will make his life easier should he purchase it.

You can do a series of 4 or 5 of them in bullet form with a buy now button just below each series, a short paragraph explaining a feature and the benefit with an inline buy now anchor text link or a short video even doing the same.

But always have that buy now link after a few of your features and benefits and never offer a feature without explaining the benefit.

Never point out the cons either, you are selling not sharing.

*I don't have a review site for a mower so those are all made up.
