I think it's a safe bet that most networks will shave the basic e-mail/zip submits pretty hard. If you've ever read the offer terms, many of them have some pretty absurd expectations for the prospect after dropping their e-mail/zip code. It's likely that quite a few will back out somewhere along the line before completing everything the advertiser wants from them.
networks dont shave email subs, advertisers do. they shave because your traffic is crap. Set up a landing page or send more targeted traffic. I get .80+ epc on email subs that pay 1.65
If you aren't a Super-Affiliate they will shave you no matter how good your traffic is ... There are other threads here about the same topic. No one in there right mind should be sending this scam network there traffic!
Soon the people should all come together and file a class action suit.
There's are a ton of posts why email-submit advertisers reduce the leads they pay for. What should you do? Stop repeatedly blaming the networks like a clueless noob, take notice that this is only happening to you on email submits, become informed on why this happening by searching various message boards for "advertiser shaving" and then modify your advertising to start banking instead of complaining.
Then go spend your affiliate earnings.
EDIT: I can't include a URL in my post, but Wicked Fire has a good thread about it. Warrior Forum has a couple as well.
Unfortunately it doesn't only happen on e-mail submits, their AM managers are quitting as they receive a lot of complains. My new manager is completely clueless. I'm pulling out.
Im glad Im seeing this thread. Ive gotten horrible, HORRIBLE support from maxbounty. Adam helped me on a faulty offer only after bugging the shit out of him, and he's not even my AM. My AM quit, and the new one didn't respond to my emails...just like the old one didn't.
I am getting shaving from maxbounty, too. its a shame, because they are my first CPA network that I was approved for. I'm new and am applying to many more
maxbounty treated me well for a while until 3 months ago. I cant blame them as it could be the advertiser too but my conversion rate was terrible in the end. It was no longer worth my time especially when im pulling 3 figures a day at other networks.
shaving is a shady area, and from what i understand, most shaving occurs on the advertiser end, the affiliate and CPA company lose money when that happens.
I would like to chip in my two cents.. MB is shaving big time. The once cut my profits by nearly $5k. Steve was in charge back then. Not sure of now... Try Neverblue. It's hard to get in but they have tons of good offers
