I Ranked No#1 for almost all keywords of a Niche for arounf 2.5 years.
Recently during the panda update Google threw my sites to >400 positions for all keywords except my main keyword which ranked in page 2(#20)

Last week i did some SEO by building backlinks from web2.0 properties and anchor with the main keyword.

Yesterday i find that instead of any improvement in SERPs my site is thrown back to fourth page (#41)

What should i do?Close my shop and move to promote another domain?

Keep going but try to get a little more diverse with your link campaign maybe - seems like G no longer likes your links; if I may ask what does your backlinking campaign look like?

    Wow! wowhaxor is helping me!

I used the linkwheelbuilder that comes with rank builder and created web2.o sites which had liks to my money site.
I did a thorough spinning....so each property had unique content only.
Though i didn't vary my anchor text.

When a site gets penalised like this by google how long does it take to comeout of it again?

It really just depends. It is a penalty though most likely so you will rebound (usually stronger than before). I would keep going and try to add some more stuff to your campaigns like profiles, blog comments, see if you can't find niche sites and get a few sitewide links, etc.

All in all just keep plugging away IMO the worst thing you can do when penalized is to just stop as this kind of shows G that they were right and your links were not natural.
