I run an seo / local seo business and I'm considering to bring on a virtual assistant. My #1 requirement is getting more customers for my business. I still work a 9 to 5 day job and I don't have the time to prospect and get customers like I want. If you were in a situation where you worked a full time job and you you needed more customers for your business and had a virtual assistant at your disposal, what duties and responsibilities would you have them perform? All feedback is appreciated, I'm sure many can benefit from it as well. Thanks!

Whatever menial tasks you don't want to do. If you can create a video and some documentation on how to do it then there is no reason not to pay someone $350/mo to do it full time for you.

To be honest that's a pretty tough deal, especially if you are focusing on a local market.

Can they make phone calls? Instead of hiring a virtual assistant to get leads/business why not hire a sales guy and give him a cut of the business? Heck, you can even do it on a per lead basis instead of hourly.

That's what I'd do if I was doing local SEO. Otherwise you should likely rethink your strategy...

I think a sales rep to deal with prospective customers would probably be the best in your situation.

I would love to give a cut on commission but must people i know what to be paid straight up. I have had a very very very difficult time finding anyone that would be willing to do seo sales on a commission.

Jay, that stuff is really cool, but actually that stuff is handled already, more importantly, I need to get more sales so the virtual assistant needs to help me on that aspect. Maybe you or someone else has more ideas?

No one knows your business better then you do, I think outsourcing this aspect to your business when concentrating on a local market could spell disaster, because local businesses are built on personal relationships.
