Typescript mostly, these days. It could be php, go, rustlang as well. Depends on the project ultimately. Also, what do you mean by "scripting" language?

Anything can work, trust me. Just use the one language you are comfortable with. Python? Javascript? C? Just use what you know. It is not about the language you use for this case atleast. You are dealing with http requests here, and that will be your bottleneck. Don't worry about what language is faster.
