Just curious as to all of the different variations which qualify as brand anchor text. Obviously the name of your website, plus website and catch phrase. But what about anchors like twitter anchors and page titles?

    Twitter: rschmitz @ website.com
    Title: Cool Title | MyWebsite

Any other variations? I've purchased a few domains with tons of names @ website.com anchors. Also, wouldn't it be more natural for inner pages to have the title as an anchor text as opposed to just the name of the site?

When the brand is not established and people don't know about it, use any combination that you want your target audience to use as your brand.

Once established, do your research and use all of the terms your customers use in order to discuss your brand.

The anchor text should contain keywords that are related to our targeted search terms and the text should be keyword-rich if we want to increase our chances of improving our keyword rankings.

Google encourages diversified anchor texts that can describe the same thing. So, don't use the same anchor text too many times as it will be perceived by search engines as a signal of manipulation.

To qualify an anchor text as brand anchor text, you can include a combination of anchor texts that directly relates to your brand and your non- branded terms within the framework of anchor text diversity.

Any anchor text that contains your brand name or website url is a brand anchor text. Homepages usually have backlinks with the website title as anchor text while internal pages have links with their titles as anchor text.

Well use any combination of targeted keywords, just add the site name with it and it becomes your brand anchor text.
